Last week I got the fun idea to have a kiddie St. Patrick's Day party! Everyone was game and we had a lot of fun this morning!
We tried getting a picture of all the kids..... 2 wouldn't sit and 3 more came after we took it. I think there was around 17 kids!
 |
| Hmmm..... whose kid is that climbing the couch??!!! |
My friend Linda (who also runs the wonderful blog,
Little Family Fun) organized a
Bean Bag Toss in which the kids tossed a bean bag and then did exercises corresponding with the squares. They loved this!
Then we ate some yummy treats! I made this fruit rainbow and several other people brought "green" themed treats.
 |
| Devon's cotton candy melted in the humidity! Being from Utah, she wasn't used to that! |
The kids ran around outside for a long time. All of us mom's were excited about the naps they would all be taking after the energy exertion! It's hot out today, or at least seems it! One thermometer says 82 degrees, the other says 87, so it's somewhere in there. We all enjoyed soaking up some much needed Vitamin D!
 |
| Dorte started throwing the ball to her sons, which turned into a kind of baseball game. |
 |
| Linda (on the deck), Liz (green shirt), Devon (pink dress) and Roberta (yellow shirt) |
 |
| Devon and May |
Then, Linda had one more surprise! (isn't she awesome!!??!!!!) She had a craft for all the kids! They made little shamrock men.
 |
| I never thought I'd say this, but today we needed a bigger table! |
 |
In case you are wondering, the lines all through the face is 'make-up'
I made the mistake of saying "Oh, did you mess up?" She quickly told me "No! It's makeup!" Oops on me! |
By then everyone was tired! It was a very fun filled morning! I even managed to get a picture of me and the kids before everyone left. Although, when I saw it, I realized that I have definitely moved into the last dreaded pregnancy month, where everything is swollen and big! (sigh, that's ok, it won't be long now!)
Oh yeah, and remember Will's obsession with ears?? Poor baby Alaina! He walked right up to her and tested her's out. Which if course sent her crying. He then tried to hug her.
Happy (few days early) St. Patrick's Day!!
I don't think you look that big, sweetie.
ReplyDeleteAhh isn't he sweet? I do agree with him though. What a great party. We even made it to almost 70 today and there are signs of 80 in our near future. Yikes and this is March??? Love always.
