On Saturday morning, Mom and Dad, Anna and Stratton headed back to the old house. Lee slept in a little and joined them a little later. I stayed and watched my kids along with Adeline. They had some helpers from church that moved stuff into the trailer and/or our Uhaul (we were taking a lot back with us).
First of all, Adeline was the most amazing kid.... she actually WANTED to take naps and 3 times tried to climb into the pack and play crying "Night, night!" "blankie" or some other version of that. I was in such amazement! My kids never want to go to bed!!
The first picture Amy drew was of the tornado.
The blue is the house and treehouse, the green is the grass and the red is the tornado. What I thought was really funny was that she also drew "the man on tv talking about it with an orange arrow." Given that we didn't have a tv to watch any of this on, I thought it was pretty good!
Lauren came by with Jackson and Maddox and the three of them had a blast together. Well, they always do! While Adeline and Will napped, they played outside. Amy even caught a lizard!
This child! She was SOOOO excited!! Her and the boys passed it around and around. After awhile, when I felt the poor thing had had enough torture, I made her put it down. She cried and cried. And everytime after, when we went outside she'd sob and say, "I miss my lizard!!" Geesh! If only I had the love for creatures that she does!
Around noon some strange man walked up to the house and started looking around. It kind of freaked me out, so I had Lauren go see who it was. I'm so mean! I thought he was some weirdo from down the street and turns out he was there to help Mom and Dad move! Right after that, a bunch of men from my parents new ward showed up. It was so kind of them!
The fridge turned out to be quite the challenge. First, apparently it took them forever to get it out of the old house and then it was quite complicated to get it into the new one. There was a team of 3 men (and Dad) moving it. They were all saying, "its not going to fit, it's not going to fit." And then Dad would say, "it'll fit." "No its not going to fit." "Yes, it'll fit, I measured." and on and on.... anyhow- true to Dad's word, it did fit- but barely! I don't think you can slide a piece of paper between the fridge and the cabinets!
Actually, the bigger problem was Mom's computer desk. That really almost didn't make it into her new office! But, eventually, it also made it.
These guys were so efficient, there wasn't much for us to do, except sit and watch!
As always, the cousins had fun playing together. At one point, Mom gave them a huge roll of paper and had them color on the porch. They succeeded- and also managed to add a little color to the drier vent. I forgot to get a picture of that.
Later that evening, Dad convinced Lee and Stratton to go help him with another project.... getting a car lift! Yes, Dad has bought a car lift and he needed to pick it up. Apparently each piece weighs literally, about a ton, and it was quite an effort! Now we all can't wait to see how Dad "redoes" the ceiling in the garage to accomodate this thing!
Once again, everyone was exhausted and overly tired that night. Everyone definitely slept better!

I would have bet Bill's lift would be his first new project after the move. I don't think that man knows how to take a week off!!! Love to all, Gram
