Boxes, Boxes

A friend from church sells Avon and she asked if I'd like the boxes for moving. YES! Of course! There are 10 and she brought them by yesterday. They have been the biggest hit since sliced bread. Let me tell ya!

Will has just had fun crawling all around and on top of them.
He's actually pretty steady and it's been fun to watch him "challenge" himself.

For a slight turn of fun, Amy went to Savannah's house to play today. That was nice. Will has been sick all week, with a fever, and hasn't slept for the past 2 nights... or days for that matter. It's just a teething fever, nothing pressing. But it's meant no sleep for any of us as he's cried all night for 2 nights. Today he was finally back to normal, and I took advantage of Amy being gone and him taking a nap- I took a much needed one too!

I didn't sleep real long... because our new phones came. We are a little late on the bandwagon but we upgraded to Droid's. (Which is an iPhone, just a different brand). We are already in love! This is one amazing machine!

We were so busy playing... that I burned our dinner!

Well, the tortilla shell anyway. (We were having tortilla shell pizza's). I took that picture and emailed it to Lee saying, "I burned dinner." He laughed from the living room.

I'm pretty impressed with the clarity! We used to have blackberry's but I'm not really a fan. So it was nice to upgrade. It's our new toy. I guess we all need something fun every once in awhile, huh?

Anyhow- that's all that's going on with us. Tomorrow is cleaning day. From top to bottom, wall to wall- we are going to get this house spotless. Being gone last weekend and having a sick kid... well- I kind of got behind. But that's ok, right? Isn't that what Saturday's are for???!!!??

New Chairs!!

Well, the fabric is new.

I've been wanting to recover our kitchen chairs for awhile. I finally bit the bullet and did it! I saw some fabric that I liked in GA, Anna approved it, and that was it!

Before.....

Gross, huh? I'm pretty sure the stain in that first picture is a pee stain. Anytime anyone came over for dinner I always had to rearrange the chairs so the least yucky one was the guest chair. But now I can be proud to have anyone sit in any chair!

After.....

YAY! I love them!!

The Riddle's!

and that's no joke! Get it?! hahaha- sometime's I crack myself up!

Anyways- we are now back in MS. Travel 1 of 4, complete. We made great time on the way home... only stopping once to eat. That made Lee very happy!

But Sunday morning we headed to Lake Wedowee to spend some time with the Riddle side of the family. Uncle Bobby's lake house is always fun to visit.

Will's first boat ride and he slept the entire time!

It was a beautiful Easter Sunday and the breeze coming off the lake was just perfect. Uncle Walt, Cindy's daughter- Opal, her husband- Ryan and their new son- Reeve, and one of Uncle Bobby's son's- Chris, were all there. We don't get to see any of them very much, so it was fun to catch up with everyone.

We think Will prefers the Riddle side of the family. Sorry Mom and Anna! He didn't cry once when anyone held him. (Will screamed like crazy the first time he saw mom... and again when Anna tried to hold him. He did eventually warm up to them, but it took awhile)

That night we headed to Karen's to spend the night. We had a fun time with her, and as usual, poor Elle Mae was smothered to death by Amy. Only now Will can crawl and you could see a "not another one!!" type look in the dog's eyes.

Poor Elle Mae sought refuge from Karen... only to have Amy decide that now she wanted to curl up with her as well.

So that was the end of our Easter weekend travels! We are glad to be in our own beds and the kids fell asleep immediately. There's nothing like your own bed!! But we did enjoy seeing everyone. We are so lucky to have such wonderful family!!

What a good time, again with the sunny pictures, boating and such although today it is getting a little warmer and the daffodils are blooming and the forsythia is in bloom as well. Thanks for the pictures. Love always.

What a wonderful Easter week you had!! I'm sure all of your families were very pleased to see you all. It looked like the kids enjoyed themselves as much as the adults. I know it is always good to get back home after travelling but is is great to see everyone. Glad you had such a nice safe trip. Much love to you all, Gram

Easter Saturday

Because Lee and I are headed to Wedowee in the morning and
Mom/Dad have early morning church,
we decided to celebrate Easter today.
The kids woke up to surprises from the Easter bunny!

Anna made little baskets for the older kids.
In the baskets were this sticky hands toy.
It's sticky and you can throw it against the wall and it'll stick.
It was a hit and these 3 played so much with them, that they got dried out and started to break

We had an egg hunt scheduled for 2pm, but Adeline, Will and Amy were all pretty tired and fussy, so they all got a little rest time first. The Adam Nagel clan came over and it was time! All of the kids stayed inside with MeMe and Grandpa while their parents went out to hide the eggs. We joked with them that we were going to take off and leave all the kids

They were all waiting by the door.....

After the egg hunt, I went to the store and came back with quite a bag load!

What a great "Easter". That shopping was a long haul, those are Wegmans bags and you didn't even stop in to say hi. Great group of pictures and they all seemed to have a good time. Nice to see Walker again as well. Hope your trip goes easy. Love always.

I loved all the Easter egg hunt pictures--the kids all looked like they had a great time. Wegmans will like to see their bags used so far away and what a fantastic haul you got!!! It is so cute to see the kids in the bag. It doesn't seem possible they could be carried in one. Glad all went well and all had a great time. We too enjoyed our day at Mike and Donna's and as usual we all had a great feast and lots of laughs. It was great having Nicole home too as we didn't think she was going to make it home. She sure has been busy and I'm sure she will be glad when all her school tasks are behind her. Jenny is now looking like a Mom to be and all enjoyed seeing her little tummy. It won't be long now!!!!
Love to you all, Gram

The Temple and Cousin Play

Well, we got to GA! At 1am Wednesday night! Whew! It was after 2am by the time everyone got to bed and we got up early Thursday morning so we could go to the temple with our friends, the Musick's. The tour was wonderful and the temple is SO beautiful! Even better than before! I wish everyone could have come down for the open house- it was just so lovely!!

We loved spending time with our friends Andy and Kelli. Lee has known them since college- about 17 yrs and I have know them since Lee and I started dating... so for about 10 years. Their 2 daughters were in school, but we brought our kids and had a great time. We went to lunch afterwards and got to spend even more time with them.

Will fell asleep on the way to the temple and Amy held his hand.
We thought that was so sweet!

The sun was shining right in all of our eyes. So everyone is squinting.
(plus the kids weren't cooperating)

Before we left, Amy and Savannah tried to dress-up Will. This is what happens when 2 little girls get a hold of you .... (he pulled the hat off right after I snapped this picture)

Anna, Stratton and Adeline got here tonight. Adeline let me hold her for a long time. And the kids just loved playing together. (Jackson and Maddox came over earlier today, we just didn't get any pictures)

Adeline kept putting in Will's pacifier, whether he wanted it or not. haha.

Since we are heading to Carrollton on Sunday morning, and Mom and Dad have church at 9am, tomorrow is Easter for us. We are just waiting for all the kids to die down so the Easter bunny can come!

Poor Will, I think the dress up has just begun. But it is nice that Amy seems to really love him. Glad you got to spend time with your friends. Thanks for the update while gone. That was a bonus. Love always.

The picture of Will with the hat is priceless. That's a keeper for years from now. Glad you had a good time with your friends and all the things you were able to do while in Ga. Hope you have a great Easter with Lee's family and send them all my regards. Love to you all, Gram
