Friday was a sad day for me, I had to say the final goodbye to my sweet Honda. Well, it's been at the repair shop, so I didn't actually "see" it, but I had to sign away the title, turn in my key and FedEx everything. So sad that my little friend will probably be sold for scrap. I think I need to stop watching movies like Toy Story and Cars- I think everything is real. (Lee rolls his eyes when I say this)
Ben put a comment on my Facebook saying that buying a new car is fun. Hey, Ben! Wanna come for a visit? Buying a new car is NOT fun. It's a pain in the rear. Lee's been looking at some, I'll chime in with my opinion when the list gets more narrow. We should get the insurance check this week, so I'm sure this weekend will be full of car looking!
While at the store last weekend, Lee saw this Spiderman shirt for $2. So of course, he had to pick it up for Will. The really funny thing is that Will L.O.V.E.S it! He won't let us take it off of him! He brought it to my Sunday morning and tried to take his other shirt off saying, "Spidy! Spidy!" I finally put it on him for his nap. When he woke up, we tried to take it off to put him in his Sunday shirt, but nope- he went crazy! So this is how he went to church- Spiderman shirt and all. Lee also got a new tie- nice, huh?
This morning, Will found the shirt (in the dirty clothes) and again, screamed and insisted I put it on him. I know everyone has their "favorite" clothes, but I honestly didn't think it'd start this young!
Amy got a new dress too. It was supposed to be her Easter dress, but I let her wear it early. (After the Spiderman battle, I didn't care what anyone wore). It has glitter all over the bottom and we left a huge glitter mark on our bench. Oops! Lee said, "I can't believe you let her wear those black shoes with that dress." I replied with, "My son is wearing a Spiderman shirt. I don't care anymore."
Last week, our Aldi's had strawberries for $ .79 a pound! What a steal!! I bought 16 packages! We ate about 4 of them and the rest was turned into jam. Amy was a good helper this morning and they both enjoyed eating some from a bowl.
While not helping, Amy made this caterpillar and a house. The big colorful things are the flowers for the caterpillar to eat. She's always creating something!
Both kids have thoroughly enjoyed the piano. Lee even surprised us all by playing a few tunes the other night! Who knew!? Amy likes to look at sheet music and sing. Guess it's time for lessons!
If the lid is closed, Will will say, "play, play!"
Other than that, hmmmm..... Amy has been doing really well at learning to read. She wants to so badly and practices hard. At night she always reads one scripture (with some help) and then throughout the day she'll pick up stuff and try to read it. Will is talking a lot, a LOT more. Well, we can understand more- he's always talked. His favorite word now is "Why?" So we get that a lot.
Lee's back at school this week (last week was Spring Break) and he's busy, busy, busy. And I'm just doing the usual. Staying busy, getting organized, the regular stuff. :)

ReplyDeletei think if its ok i will send money in cards for amy and will's easter i will let you decide to get candy or clothes or maybe a dvd
What was wrong with her shoes? They looked fine, although she looks soooo old. I love her art work. Will is cute no matter what he wants to wear, and Lee is not too bad to look at either. Nice tie. Remember, rest sometimes. Love always.
ReplyDeleteYou all look good to me!! I did miss a picture of you though Sarah! You must send some of you too you know!!!! I like Will's new Spider Man shirt and it looks so cute on him. Amy's new dress is very pretty and Lee's tie matches his beautiful eyes. You all look great to me. See you all soon. Much love to all, Gram
