Getting Back to Normal

Whew! Traveling just wears us out! We spent yesterday trying to get things back in place. Well, not everything... the piano is still in the middle of the living room.

Lee is on Spring Break this week. He's spending most of it working on his dissertation, but he did stay home yesterday. Both kids had doctor's appointments and it was nice to have him here to help. Amy just had another shot appointment. To our amazement, she actually did really well. There weren't too many tears and it was way easier than the last time! Mom bought her this new outfit- I think that helped.

Will had a recheck with his neurologist. I am happy to announce that he hasn't had a seizure since Jan 8th. The Doctor said the differences in the first EEG and the most recent one was remarkable. So he's just going to leave his dosage where it's at and hopefully that'll be enough! Yay Will!

Will is our little "artist." He is always drawing, coloring and even tries to say his letters. He doesn't know them yet (though we are working on it) but he'll see a letter and say "E," "B," "D," etc. He's anxious to learn, I guess!

While we were at Amy's appointment, he wanted to draw. It kept him very quiet!!

This morning I got some permanent Will artwork- he drew all over the trash can! He also drew all over his legs. He's only in a diaper because his diaper leaked and ruined the pants he was wearing. Then he was eating (cooked) oatmeal with Lee and it got all over his shirt. Thus, a naked child.

Here he's saying, "No, no!!" All of a sudden he doesn't like his picture taken.
And for some reason he's always wearing one sock
We took the (sniff) damaged Honda to the shop yesterday for an estimate. $7,600 worth of damage! Yeah, I think they are going to total it out. So sad....!

I have been super sore lately. I have some ligament on my right side the doctor said must be torn (or stretched thin!) from the baby. And that, along with the pressure is what has caused my groin and surrounding muscles to hurt so badly. Anyhow- it hurts to walk most of the time and yes- all of you are getting your wish! It's FORCING me to sit and rest! Last night I fell asleep around 8pm! I don't think I've been to bed that early since I was 10 years old! It was nice to get 10 hours of sleep though and I definitely must have needed it! Oh well, I'll suck it up and *try* to spend the next month resting. At this point, I really don't have much choice- it hurts too badly to move.

That's it for us right now. Just slowly trying to recover from traveling! Thank goodness we also went to the grocery store yesterday! I tried to get in as much as I could while Lee was home!

  2. Glad all the Doctors were happy with the kids and that Will's test was so good. He sure is a handsome boy.. Glad he likes to draw keep encouraging that. Glad too that Lee was home and could help you with the kids. Sorry you are hurting but it's probably a sign to keep yourself a little more relaxed. I know that is a little hard with two little ones around but do the best you can. Love to you all and take it easy, Gram
Oh yes, Amy's new outfit is sure a cutie. Glad she was good for her shot. Love to all.
