December always brings a ton of fun activities!
There's the town Christmas parade
We went to see the lights at Lucky Ladd
We hung our own lights.... and I cracked up everytime
Tyler and I did our annual Best Lights awards
We went to Christmas with the Robbins- my favorite event!
Tyler created this one all by himself
We babysat for a puppy that was going to be a Christmas gift for a friend. He was so precious!
Enjoyed our own Christmas....
Sarah had her first colonoscopy
Our first snow- just a dusting. But snow is snow
Lee helped Amy with her schoolwork
But the real story of this year was the SEPTIC! Ugh. Long story short- it backed up, we had it emptied. It backed up again, the repair crew had to come out. They spent 3 hours trying to unclog it- but couldn't do it. So we had to call a 3rd group who had to replace the entire line. This all happened between Christmas Eve and New years. We could barely use any water so we went to our friends, the Rivas', house to shower (they were out of town.) It was terrible timing and crazy annoying, but we made it. Tree roots were the problem as they can crawl into the old pipe that has holes in it. The roots can't penetrate the new PVC pipe.
The only good thing about the laundromat is you can do about 5 loads all at once and it's done in like 20 mins.
Our nightly visit to the Rivas'
Our tree
The Gingerbread house. We added a "Septic" to it and when it broke before we could get a family picture... well, that seemed about right.
The Allen's had spent the holiday in GA and came back by to say hello.
Then it was time to get ready for our annual New Years party!!!! It's the best! This year had more confetti and a ton more people. It keeps getting better and better every year!
Goodbye 2024!!
