Playing, a Wreath and Flowers

I couldn't sleep well last night, must be that last month pregnancy stuff. Actually it is- I was really hot, kept having to go to the bathroom, etc. (sigh) I hate the last month. Anyhow, just as I was drifting, Will woke up and it took him a long time to go back to sleep. So this morning I was really tired! I deemed it a "lazy/tv watching day." When I told this to Amy she squealed, "Yeeeeeeessssss!!!!!" (this girl likes tv!)

Yesterday, I threw some ice on the deck for the kids to play with. I thought they'd get more of a kick out of it than they actually did. Oh well. I'm sure the ice needed rotating. :)

Back to today....

The kids had fun playing with an empty picture frame. Actually, Will was shooting us with it. But that's nothing new. It's so hard to get him to stand still!

While the kids had naptime, I worked on finishing a Year Round Wreath I had started awhile back. A bunch of us got together and worked on it as one big project, but no one was able to finish the day of. I was so tired after that day, that I put the bag on a shelf in the garage and it's been there ever since. Today I finally got it out and finished it. Well, for the most part...... anyhow- it's just one wreath and each month is interchangeable. (I am missing July, so yes, March is pictured twice). I'm excited for each new month!

I forgot to take pictures of our tulips. I was surprised when they came up, you never know what grows when you move somewhere new. I commented on it one day and Lee said, "Didn't YOU plant those in the fall?" Hmmmm, oops, yeah I did. I was curious to see if tulips would grow well here. I'm pleased to say they do! I will plant more next fall (and try to remember I did so!)

That's it for now!

  1. What pretty flowers, out tulips aren't that far up yet, but we do have dafodiles. For us that super though. Love your wreaths another cute idea. Love always.

  2. The tulips are so pretty--one of my favorite flowers too! I think the cold weather we had a few nights ago stunted my tulips as they look sort of limp and haven't bloomed yet. My daffodils are blooming though and are quite nice.
A lot of my plants are coming to life now and it is always fun to see them bloom. My fish are swimming around and I have four new baby fish and two frogs in my pond this year. I'll be glad when I get it cleaned out though as it is really dirty after the winter.
It's nice to have spring a little early for a change.
    Love to you all, Gram
PS Sarah Please SIT a while.
