Niagara Falls 2018

On the way back home we stopped off at Niagara Falls. We think the kids enjoyed it. We took them on the Maid of the Mist and started our drive south after that. It was a fun stop.

Tyler started getting wet and said, "uh... this is NOT good...." haha

Even though he hates getting wet, Will was good sport.

Water under the falls is very choppy!

 

When we got to the falls, we tried to find someplace to park. The first place we saw was $20 a car. So we decided to turn the corner. That garage was $25 and still another lot was $15. There was a lot right next to that one that was advertised as $3. THREE dollars compared to fifteen, twenty and twenty-five?? Surely it was a trick.  But nope, not a trick, it truly was $3. By the time we came back to the car the price had gone up to $5. But seriously- it pays to drive around people! We still can't believe that price difference!

We also made a record this trip... 47 of 50 license plates were spotted. I think our previous record was 42. We were only missing Hawaii, North Dakota and Nevada. We were missing Alaska as well, but Amy spotted one about an hour from home.

New York Fun

Jenny took the "Candy Store" from our childhood up a notch.

We made pizzas with Uncle Mike.

Kevin is always fun to jump on.

Jenny had a little impromptu early birthday party for Will. He was thrilled!

Hungry, Hungry Hippo is loud but really fun with Aunt Donna!

Will showed us his dance moves.

We took the kids to Hill Cumorah and the Peter Whitmer farm. Gotta get those church sites in when we can!

We also stopped at the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge and looked for Bald Eagles. We didn't find any,

We went for ice cream and then fishing on Uncle Mike's boat.

Will caught the first fish!

I love this... Will just chatting with Donna.

Tyler finally caught one but I don't think anyone was as excited as he was!

Great Grandma piled Tyler's waffles high with whipped cream.

And all too soon it was time to say goodbye. We just love our visits to New York! (I'm VERY mad at myself for not getting a picture with the entire family. I'm also missing pictures with Lynn and Steve! grrrr...)
