It doesn't seem like we've been that busy. But then when I look at all the pictures I haven't posted, I think, "Hmmm.... maybe we have been doing something."
A few days ago I finally got fed up with Will's closet. I didn't get a "before" picture, but basically all of his clothes were thrown into a laundry basket, that we had to weed through daily to get clothing. The extra clothing sizes were in whatever bag or box we received them in. (Lauren has been giving me her boys old clothes, which has been such a blessing. Words can't express how much we appreciate it, Lauren!) But since we needed some of those sizes, those were a mess too.
So with the addition of Amy's new dresser, Will got her old tupperware drawer thing. Then I also bought some storage bins to separate the extra sizes. Now everything is labeled and easily seen.
Will thought it was a good place to sit.
Ahhh..... organization feels so great!
One morning we tried balancing books on our heads.
Well, it started with toys and that led to books.
Will tried for a minute, then gave up and decided to read instead.
This kid loves books! It's wonderful!
They were just sitting playing/laughing with each other. I just love it.
(if you'll notice, Will has 2 plates. Once again he grabbed the serving plate of the leftovers, along with his own portion)
We went to the park this morning with friends. Wow- what a beautiful day it was! Didn't even reach 70 degrees! Niiiice!! While Will was napping, Amy asked if we could make something. We settled on a boxed cake. She said, "Mom, you always let me do such fun things." Ahhh, that was so sweet. Although it really isn't true! But I'm glad she remembers these moments and not the other!
Then I was feeling crafty. I bought a few of these window things last year for like $. 12 each... They were perfect for her! (when I asked her why she painted them all dark, she said it was to make them scary)
And I made this adorable thing!
Isn't it the cutest??? I just love their little feet ghosts! I plan on doing it every year and making it part of our Halloween decor. I can't believe that next year we'll have another set to add! Awh! :)
The kids were funny about painting their feet......
Amy giggled like crazy. (When I started this, she said, "Oh- like on Barney!" So apparently that dreaded purple dinosaur had the idea first)
Will did not care for it one bit. He cried/whined while I was painting his- thank goodness its small! It made me think of Adeline. Anna, try this on Adeline and video it! She'll go nuts!! hahaha.
When I added the bow to the girl, Amy said, "But the boy needs something. How about a tie?" So both got a little color.
Anyways- that was our day. I may have done an adorable project but I still have no idea what to do for dinner. We went out last night, so I probably can't try that again. Ugh.... dinner.....
Your only at the beginning of the torture of whats for dinner. Buck up girl, there are a lot of years to go. I love the foot ghosts. Amy was right, both needed color. Keep doing those fun things. Oh yeah, did you have to tie or belt Will to something to get the results you want, or do you always tie them up. Love always.
ReplyDeleteCute! Love your little feet ghosts. What a great idea! As for trying it on Adeline... I'm not so sure though. She will definitely freak out! Way to go on getting organized.. if I had a cool thing I could label things with I would probably do that too! You are such a fun mom! I'm glad Amy tells you so because its true!
ReplyDeleteNow you can come and organize my closet. I have such a nice large space and no room. Just need some ideas.!!! Love the painted foot ghosts too. Where in the world do you get all the cute ideas?? What fun. Keep it up. Love to all, Gram.
ReplyDeleteLynn- did not have to tie him up- well, he was buckled into his chair. He just whined while the paint was going on. Surprisingly he didn't move his foot at all when I pressed it against the board!
ReplyDeleteAnna- I didn't use my cool machine this time. Too time consuming for all that I had to make. I just typed it in Word and added pictures. Then hit print. MUCH easier! But thanks for being impressed! :)
Grandma- I waste even more parts of my day on a site called "pinterest." It's full of ideas for everything you can imagine. There are some creative people out there! I just copy them!
As for dinner.... I can't remember what we ate- I think it was tacos. (our old standby)
