Friday Fun

On Friday, Amy needed something to do. So Mom got out the watercolors, Then, being the genius that Mom is, she ran downstairs to get a large sheet of paper. She then traced Amy and had her paint herself. Amy thought it was the greatest thing in the entire world!!

The finished master piece!
Adam and Lauren went to Asheville for the weekend (they were in a wedding), and we kept Jackson and Maddox. Mom picked them up from school Friday and it was off and running from that moment on! It was a lot of fun having all the kids play around together! Amy loves her cousins and playing with them is one of her favorite things.

We went down to Mom and Dad's new house to see the progress. Dad rented the smallest looking Bobcat. It was hilarious seeing him on the thing. He was clearing the brush for the shed.

The inside is all sheet rocked and some workers were there putting the plaster on it. It looks so nice inside! They were afraid it would look closed in when the sheet rock went up, but it really doesn't. It's going to be such a beautiful house!!

After that, we took the kids to Marietta Square. We thought there was an art exhibit going on, but it really didn't start until the next day. So we let the kids play on the train for a little while.

By then, Mom and I were exhausted. I'm still not sure how she had 4 kids, these 4 wore us out! After a little convincing, all the kids went to sleep and everyone slept very soundly!

  1. After all the excitment of the last two days and all the visiting and going you did It's no wonder you are all exhausted. You seem to have fit a whole weeks adventure into just two days. Oh to be young again. It is great that you all had such a fun time visiting everyone and I know Amy was in her glory with the kittens and dogs. I'm sure Karen was happy to see you all too! Just remember Sarah when you get home you WILL be tired!!! I sure like what I can see in the house--I bet ME and Bill are happy too! I will be glad to see it myself. LOve to you all and Safe driving.
