Then we headed to the city of Carrollton, to Granny's house! Amy couldn't wait to see Granny and Elle Mae (the dog). Lee was there too! He was pretty tired from 2 days at his convention, so he stayed home Saturday to rest, see us and get an early start back to Tennessee. The kids were really excited to see Daddy!
We were at Karen's for a few hours and then Amy and I went to have dinner and swimming at our friends the Anderson's. Since Lee was staying at his mom's, I left a 'still haven't napped' Will with him.
The Anderson's are wonderful friends of ours, who were also in our ward in Carrollton. The husband, Jon, is one of the main inspirations for Lee getting his PhD. And Kristy (the wife) is a wonderful soul. You can't help but love her! They have 6 (yes, I'm amazed how they do it) wonderful kids. Jon and the 3 boys were at the BYU/Ole Miss game, so we didn't get to see them. But we had great "girl time" with Kristy and the 3 girls.
We had pizza, fruit and veggies for dinner and a delicious cookie bar and ice cream for a treat. Then we all went swimming. They just built this beautiful pool and it was fun to swim in it! (yes, they built the entire thing themselves!!) The unfinished part is the going to be a hot tub! And there's a kitchen area to the back left. The whole thing is just beautiful!

Besides having a ton of fun with the girls, Amy also loved their 2 kittens and 1 dog. She did swim for a little while, but then her time was spent holding one of the kittens or petting the dog. I'm not sure which she loves more, animals or bugs.
After swimming the girls took a bath. Their tub has jets in it and Amy loved all the bubbles it produced!

It was dark by the time we left. Kristy realized we hadn't taken a picture yet, so we attempted it. It's definitely not the greatest one in the world, but it'll do for now. Next time we all get together we'll get a better one.
When we left there (at 9pm) we went back to Karen's to pick-up Will, who was still wide awake. We said goodbye to Lee (Amy cried) and then headed back to Kennesaw, to my parents house. When we got back here, Anna and Adeline had arrived! So far, everyday has been exhausting, but so much fun!
And you wonder why you're tired?!!? I read your blog and I need a nap. What a fun weekend you are having. I didn't know you were going to see Anna as well. How fun. Your mom has always been a mind of wonder and ideas. She always says I think up things, I only am a follower of direction, thinking up the fun has never been my thing. I guess that's why I never did anything bad. Hope you have a good trip home and the rain won't interfere. Take care. Love always.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, I forgot to say how great their house is looking. Have her send a good picture of the back yard as well. I'd like to see the change. Love again always.
