Lauren was kind enough to take some family pictures of us Saturday morning. Sorry, no sneak peeks- you'll have to wait for our Christmas card. But they are really good. She thinks she isn't a "photographer" but she does a great job!! That afternoon, her, Adam and the boys came over for one more visit. Jackson and Maddox came in carrying bats, so that meant some baseball fun in the front yard.
Each kid had their own bat and Adam threw the ball to them. Let me tell you- between Jackson's lightening fast speed and Maddox's ability to hit- these two boys are baseball stars in the making!
After the first swing, Amy decided it was more fun to look for bugs. That's my girl!
To Dad: Sorry about the mound of dirt dug up in your front yard!
Adam and Lauren had a little bat battle as well. I think Lauren won.
After that fun, they were off to find a Christmas tree. (Which they had a hard time finding, but the next day they got a great one). We lazed around one more night and took off Sunday morning when Mom and Dad went to church (we hadn't brought any church attire).
Like I said, the drive was long and at times miserable. The kids never fell asleep so took to playing with each other to occupy themselves. At least I think they were in the car... maybe we just brought home blankets instead.
Sorry for the long ride home but I know the rest of the weekend went great. It looks like all had a fun time and loved the batting most of all. I can't believe Amy always thinking about the bugs. What a girl!! Love to you all, Gram
ReplyDeleteWe are getting a little sprinkle of rain today and I hope it will stay rain. So far we have been warm enough to fight off the snow. Get some rest. Love, Gram
I too am sorry about your trip. Nothing as much fun as traffic, driving rain, and awake kids. Yes, I did see Ben's blog and yes, he got the same yelling at you did, with an explanation of how things can go wrong. I'm an equal opportunity yeller. Gram hadn't seen it yet, so he'll get a second dose later. We still love the pics and videos it's been so much fun to keep up with all the kids. (and you) Love always.
