Happy Birthday LEE!!

Today is Lee's 37th birthday! Sounds so old, huh? We keep remarking about that! But he doesn't look a day over 36. haha. Anyway, we had fun celebrating.

We started the morning with cinnamon rolls and scrambled eggs. Everyone knows that the only drag about cinnamon rolls in the morning is you have to get up at 3am to make them. Well, I read somewhere, to make them up until after you slice the dough (so it's gone through the first rise), then freeze them. When you are ready, take the out the night before, spray with Pam and let them thaw/sit overnight. In the morning they'll be risen and ready to bake. I was hesitant, but it worked!! YAY!!

Will LOVES scrambled eggs. I mean, he LOVES them. I wish I had  a video of his gleeful shout when they went onto his plate. He eats way more than Lee or I do- I have to make a lot extra, just for him.

Amy wasn't camera ready/really awake yet.

Then, sadly, Lee had to go to work. But that's ok, Amy helped me makes his "cake." Which really isn't a cake, its mainly just Cookies and Cream Ice Cream.

After lunch, I decided the kids needed to expend some energy. So I took them to a local park. I didn't have to chase Will *to* much this time. Amy has been into wearing Lee's cap. She wore it to the park and I had to laugh. Aren't little girls supposed to steal their mom's things?

After the park, it was naptime! YES!!! For mom too!! Double YES!! As you know, Amy isn't the best sleeper. So to help bribe her, there is a sleep fairy that comes at night. If Amy is asleep by the time the fairy comes, the fairy leaves a treat. Well, that's been working like a charm. So one day, in order for her to get a nap that she desperately needs, I said the sleep fairy also has a sister- the nap fairy. Again- this works great. Today the fairy left her some glue. Something we've been out of for awhile and Amy has desperately been wanting. She woke up so excited and then said, "NOW can we please make a collage?" I gave her a bunch of confetti and she went to town.

Just watching on
She made all of these and I think used just about the entire bottle! Santa is going to have to add some glue to her stocking this year!

When Lee got home it was celebration time again. One of his favorites is 7 layer taco dip, so that's what I made. Although it was missing some of the layers. Oops! Then his favorite dessert- the frozen Oreo thing (we have no idea what it's called) and present time!

It was still pretty frozen, but that didn't stop him.

Amy drew a picture of her and Daddy

Will was obsessed with that card!
He looked at it for the longest time and then carried it everywhere.

A shadowbox of his Carrollton police memorabilia.

Still looking at the card....

A card fort! And still looking at the cards....
So HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful husband. We love you more than you know. I'm so lucky that you chose ME to be your wife and that we were able to create this wonderful family!!
