Amy and I washed our cars... woohoo exciting, right??!
I cannot stop raving about this movie. First of all.... it's rated PG, completely clean, a Christian film.... but aside from that- the story! It's based on the true story of Bethany Hamilton who lost her left arm in a shark attack in 2003. She was an amazing surfer and for a moment thought her life in the 'surfer' world was over. But her faith in God pulled her through and she returned to the sport and has won all kinds of championships. What an inspiring story! I will definitely be buying this one when it comes out!
But after that I still wasn't ready to come home so I wandered in a few stores, then came back. I still didn't "feel" like it, but I couldn't come up with anything else to do. It was just that kind of day.
But I did get some pretty flowers! Lee took Amy to get me these, here she is saying "Thank you for being my mom." Awww, what a sweetie. (2 roses, one for each kid)
And this morning was the usual church routine. Actually, we all got up and dressed way earlier than we usually do- which was nice. Amy wore a dress that Aunt Lauren bought her. She cracked me up with her "posing." She also requested the side pony tail. She held all her hair to the side and said, "Can you do it like this Mom?" She said someone at church had it like that and she liked it.
I can't believe how grown-up she's getting! I didn't get a picture of Will, but he's cute, as always. Lee and I both had to speak in Sacrament meeting today. I guess they wanted to give us one last chance to speak before we move and did it now since we'll be gone virtually the entire month of June.
Thats about it! Happy Mother's Day to my own mother. I can't seem to get her on the phone, so maybe she'll check this blog. Dad did say that she got my card, so that's good! And Lee's mom said she got her stuff as well. Yay!
Happy Mother's Day to all you Mother's out there!!
