Anyhow- this week we really haven't done much. Monday is was freezing. Really, it was SO cold. We were supposed to meet some friends at the park, for a picnic and Family Home Evening, and I had to dig out some long sleeved shirts for us to wear. Then, after about 10 mins, all of us adults were freezing so we went over to our friends house to play indoors. What crazy weather! It's warm again now, thank heavens.
Lee came home yesterday, with what? Oh yes- the stomach bug (that Amy and I had last week). So he's been laid up in our room watching a bunch of 'guy' movies and I'm sure he's enjoying that! He is feeling better and is now out in the living and playing with the kids.
Amy's loves for bugs always amazes me. Even more, is that she can find the tiniest bug, pick it up (without killing it) and bring it inside. Lately she's been finding baby ladybugs. Before a few days ago I had never seen one and even now, I'm amazed that she sees them outside! Today she came in with 5 crawling on her arm!
This is her hand, so I hope you can catch a sense of how small this thing is.
I've been busy at work helping mom with some reunion stuff. Sorry, I can't post that, but we want to keep some things a surprise.
While I was crafting away, Amy sat with me and did her crafts as well. Mom sent her some glitter glue pens and she's been having a ball/making a mess with those. (no picture, sorry). She also drew these pictures. A bird and a moose. I was impressed. But as her mother, everything she does amazes me.
That's it for now! We have a lake day planned for tomorrow, and fingers crossed we actually get to go. Our beach/lake trips have been cancelled lately for one reason or another!)
I can't get over her drawings. I can't do that myself, they are really good. Sooooo sorry it was chilly there. We are finally able to go out without a coat some days. This last week, all we have had is rain and some days only in the high 40's. As for the new song, I think it could work. Love always.
ReplyDeleteI love the drawings too. Its amazing she has sure detail like the beak and feet and the moose antlers. Very cute. Those are keepers. Put a date on the back with her age. It will be fun for her to see later and for you to enjoy too. Have fun at the beach!
ReplyDeleteProbably your COLD day was at least 60 degrees. We have lucky this past week to hit the 50's and rain for the last nine days. You can see how much sympathy you will get from all of us. Love Amy's drawings and her interest in the bugs. Hope she keeps up both interests. Much love to all, Gram
