Pool Time

I wasn't going to buy a 'kiddie' pool this year since we have the reunion on the beach (woohoo!) and are moving. But then, today, I decided it would be worth the $20. Things are pretty boring lately and it's already really hot. Which makes playing outside not very appealing. But if you are outside in the water... well, that's ok!

I blew it up inside with the help of my hair dryer and my own hot air. It's HUGE, huh!!? I actually wanted it big so that I could sit in it too. Last year I got a little one for Amy and it was just no fun. haha. The kids played and crawled like crazy in it. They were so excited! Even little Will didn't know what to think!

We all had a great time in it. Yes, even I got it- that's why I bought the thing so big! Lee laughs when I do that, but oh well- it's hot out!! Will was a little scared at first, but then started splashing and I guess realized it was one gigantic bath tub and he didn't have a problem after that.

In fact... the little rug rat LOVED putting his face in the water. It nearly gave me a heart attack each time! And then I would tell him no, he would laugh and do it again.

We stayed in for about an hour and then had to come in for rest time. We'll probably go back in tomorrow and we have a lake and a beach trip planned for later this week. Hello Summer! We've been waiting for you!

  1. Loved your videos. By the way, why are you so worried about Will putting his face in the water? You want to have him learn how to do that. They even have baby swimming lessons to teach that. Stop being so worried. He'll be fine and you wouldn't leave him alone anyway so be glad HE isn't afraid. Your pet horse is cute. Love always.

  2. Good point Aunt Lynn. Lee just told me I was being silly too. Apparently Amy used to do that all the time as well- according to Lee. I can't remember her being a baby (thank heavens for blogs) I guess "drowning" is just that one thing I'm fearful about. But yes, him not being afraid of the water is a good thing!

  4. I'm sure with all the heat you have down there you will enjoy the pool as much as the kids. Just get in--someone has to watch the kids so you might as well get in to be closer!!!! We are finally getting some warm weather here too. Not as much as you have but we will take any we get. Enjoy!! Love to all, Gram
