We Live in the GREATEST Place on Earth!

I'm a simple woman. Decent grocery stores and a good farmers market is all I need. And I have FOUND it! Oh my goodness! I feel like flying! (I think I was in MS too long)

This morning I hit our local Publix, which is less than a mile away. I was greeted by all kids of wonderful fruits- and I bought a lot of them....

(this next part is mostly for you, Ashley)
Then I took Amy with me to try out the town square Farmer's Market. I couldn't stop laughing in glee!!! All around three sides of the square was FULL of stands. Produce, flowers, baked goods, live music. I was in my glory!!

This is where I picked up my cinnamon rolls
I mean, WOW!! I laugh because at the reunion Ashley and I had a conversation about Farmer's Markets. Somehow I mentioned that ours (in MS) was an old man and a truck and she laughed, and described their's, which I assume is similar to this one. Ahhh, Mississippi... you have no idea how far behind you are.

Anyway- I was in my glory. Amy was in glory because there were also lots of dogs walking around. I didn't buy too much, but I could have! I just bought a bouquet of flowers (aren't they lovely??!!)...... some cinnamon rolls made from organic whole wheat (I'm a sucker for those)...... some local honey and a small cake that looked good. While in line at the flower booth, a really nice lady struck up a conversation, gave me her card and invited me out for lunch sometime. Wow! So nice!

(Sorry the picture is so fuzzy)

I could've kicked myself that I had already bought produce at Publix earlier this morning. But I remember Ashley saying that they go to their market every Saturday and buy produce and eat breakfast. I think that's what we are going to do too. What a great tradition to start!! Thanks for the tip, Ash! And thanks to Murfreesboro, TN for being so darn AWESOME!!!

  1. I'm SO glad you finally have the convenience of a great market. We are really blessed here as we have many we can choose all summer long and then in winter we can go to the public market downtown and that is evidentally great too. I've not been shopping downtown only a few times as we have so much right here and always Wegmans!! Happy for you and it's a great thing to have with the kids. Glad you are so happy!!! Much love, Gram

  3. So glad for you. Gram is right, we have so many and then Wegmans so we never want for great produce. Your market looks like a lot of fun though with even entertainment. How fun. I can't wait to see some of these exciting things. Love always.

  5. Oh I am so happy for you. It's funny a while ago I took pictures of our market but then I decided I didn't want you to feel bad about your little old man with a truck of produce... Now I can share! WAHOO
