I thought I'd post a few pictures from yesterday and today....... This blue/purple dress is one of the ones Amy and I got on Saturday. She picked it out. Which means there wasn't any "drama" on Sunday morning. Let me tell you- that was worth it's weight in gold!
He LOVES Amy. He follows her everywhere.
Luckily she really enjoys him too and they play really well together.
Sunday night Amy got to do one of her favorite things.... give her toys a bath. It was the tiger's turn this time. She was even more excited when I gave her some bubble bath to play with. Surprisingly, she's really good at keeping all the water and bubbles in the sink!
Now this is the mystery in the Wade household.... Will is up on the couch- and he got up there all. by. himself. Seriously!! Last week when I was at the movies with a friend, I came home and Lee told me that he had come out of another room and noticed Will was on the couch, playing with Amy. He asked Amy about it and she said he got up by himself. When I got home, I asked her as well, "are you sure you didn't help him??" She said, "No Mom, he just does it by himself." I have to admit, while she doesn't lie, Lee and I both were skeptical.
This morning the kids were in the living room, Lee was in the shower and I was cooking breakfast. Amy ran into the kitchen and said, "Mom! Come see! Will got on the couch again!" So I rush over, grab the camera and took the above picture. A few minutes before I could hear Amy dancing and singing to her movie, so I know that she didn't help him. Plus, she doesn't lie (she hasn't figured that one out yet). Amy even demonstrated how he got up there. The little stinker!!!! The couch cushions only come to his chest!!! So all day long, Lee and I kept trying to get Will to climb back up so we could see it/take a video. But he didn't take our persuasions. So alas- it's still a mystery.
He must've worked up an appetite- here he is downing his green smoothie.....
I have to admit, I've slacked off on Amy's "school." I'm trying to get it going again. Amy is really good at her capital letters, she can say and write them all. But I haven't been excellent at teaching her the lower case. So we worked on those. Actually, she knew them all and for the most part could write them all- I was actually surprised by that. (I figured she had forgotten everything we worked on months and months ago). She loves "school" so that helps. She's really trying and wants to read, so we've got to get back working on that.
I'm sure I've mentioned this before but Amy is my sister Anna. For those that don't know Anna, or didn't grow up with her, well, you missed out on lots of drama regarding her clothing. Anna was the pickiest, craziest, I don't even know what word to describe it- but she was it- when it came to her clothes. Somehow Anna managed to pass that onto my daughter. (Hence the Sunday dress debacles I mentioned before). This is an example.....
This is a perfectly nice tshirt. It's brand new, I think someone sent it to use last year b/c it was in the "size 4, summer clothes" bin. Since it's warm here (HA, New York!!) I took it out. Most people would think this shirt was great. Amy? Nope. Why?? Because it's a little long and has ruffles at the bottom. So what does she do?? She tucks in all of her shirts....
This may not seem weird in this picture- but when its a longer shirt that goes with leggings... and her shirt is tucked into the leggings... well it looks downright ridiculous. I really don't care what she looks like at home, but getting her to change out of this to go somewhere is a nightmare. We had to go to speech therapy today and getting her to change shorts was a chore in itself. I finally had to lay out 4 pairs of "acceptable" shorts and she had to choose one (sound familiar, ANNA?????). It took awhile, but she finally came around. Whew!
And last but not least, this little necklace (that I forgot I had ordered for myself) came in the mail today. It was cheap and I thought it was cute and different. So I bought it. I can't wait to wear it!
So that's it for tonight. I hope that was enough of an update for you!! :)
Oh and thanks to mom, Grandma and Nicole for talking to me when I called at almost midnight your time to share in excitement over "The Bachelor." Really- it's great knowing there are other crazy people like me in the world!!

- Wow, with the new technology you really had a super update. I remember the Anna stuff. She also had a thing about socks. Hope it works itself out. I think I heard somewhere to try and have them make clothing decisions before going to bed to eliminate the early morning meltdown. And yes, I did get the weather dig. We are supposed to get to 50 today though. Love always.
- I'm sooo glad you got the new Wi-fi for your computers that last blog is priceless! It is nice to be able to just sit in a comfortable chair or lounge on the bed to be working with your computer. I love the pictures of the kids and the mystery of Will getting on the couch himself. He looks so proud of himself. I love Amy's new dress and she looks so cute in it. Her lady bug is cute too. Did you make her hair ribbon? We are supposed to be getting up to at least 40 outside today. I hope so. My tulips are up about 2 inches and I hope they don't get frozen out as I'm sure this nice weather won't last too long. Love to you all, Gram.
- Yahoo Brad and Emily! So fun chatting about it all last night. You can call me any day any time, it's always fun to laugh together. Such fun photos and wifi too! You had a good couple days!
- Crazy how Will got on the couch!? He must have some mega upper body strength. Because you give me such a hard time about the way I was/am, payback is Amy being the same way! Karma is great huh?!? Muahahahahhahaha. I do feel bad for you though.
- Isn't wifi so lovely! My sister was like that with her clothing as well. My mom would make her all these cute clothes, and she wouldn't wear them. I think Mom finally just decided that she had to let my sister be a part of picking out all of her own clothes before they bought them. By the time they got to me, though, I think they just made me wear stuff even if I didn't like it.
