Fun in the Mud

Two nights ago we had a serious rainstorm- it was awful! And allllllll night long. We actually thought the house would be in pieces after it. But nope- all is well. But what does a rainstorm create??? Lots and lots of water.... which makes lots and lots of MUD!!

So since Amy had been cooped up for 2 days, yesterday morning I took her outside so she could run around. I was reading my book... she was playing in her mud puddle. Then I started looking at her and thought, "That looks like a lot of fun! And she's not going to be little forever, so....." I started playing too!

(Lee watched us from the window and took a few pics)

It was definitely lots of fun! And I have to admit- this is about the one and only time I've been grateful that the washing machine is in the kitchen!!

The other day at the store, Amy wanted to buy some flowers. Ever since Lee gave some to me for Valentines Day, she's been obsessed with flowers. She picked out these roses and out of the dozen, I gave her 4 (b/c that's her age) and she put them in her room. She 'checks' them several times a day. She's so funny! But aren't they beautiful??!!

Yikes!!! I do have to admit it was a good idea to play with her. What a fun memory. Bet you'll have that pair of socks that color to remember for a long time. They'll never come clean. What beautiful roses. Usually they get home then the blossom keels over but those are georgeous and such a beautiful color. Love always.

Amy is a girl after my own heart. I love roses and especially pink ones. They really are beautiful!!! The mud looked like a fun thing to do with your daughter. I don't believe I ever did that but it sure looked like fun. As Lynn said it will be a great memory. Too bad Will wasn't there too. Love to you all, Gram.
