I'm 0 for 2

I mentioned last post about Will's ear's being fine, despite me thinking he had an ear infection.... Well, I had a similar experience with Amy....

She's been having a lot of bathroom accidents lately and that's unlike her. I thought it was just b/c she's been overly tired (playing non-stop with Savannah all day). Well, 2 nights ago she said that it hurt when she went potty. I thought, "Great, she has a bladder infection." Friday morning I tried calling the doctor, but their phone lines were messed up. So I read some info, called a friend for advise, and decided to get some juices and try to get her to drink a lot and force her to flush everything out. Of course, she wouldn't drink. I finally got through to the Doctor, at 4pm, just in time for all doc's to be gone for the weekend. Great. I called mom and she suggested that I not wait the weekend and take her to an urgent care type place. So I did. We got there just before it got insanely busy and turns out- nope- no infections of every kind. The doc thinks her bubble bath was just irritating her. So no more bubble baths. I was glad that was all it was!

On the way home, Lee said, " I'm so impressed with you! You are so anti-doctor and you managed to take both kids within a day of each other!" haha. (For the record, I'm not anti-doctor. I just don't run to them for every little thing. I try to fix it myself first and use them as a last resort. If one of the kids broke their arm- then obviously I wouldn't hesitate to call the doc).

After that debacle, Lee decided to stay home with Will and put him to bed. Amy and I went over to a friend's house for a farewell bonfire for some friends that are moving to TX. The one moving is Kerry- she's the one in the plaid shirt, in front, and is my crafting buddy!

That was a lot of fun. Simple, easy, great quality time, etc. I can't wait to have a yard so that we can host these type of gatherings!

Amy was worn out from a full day, plus 3 extra hours of running around a campfire. So she went to bed and slept until 9:30am this morning!! WOW! She's always up by 6:30! We had a birthday party to go to at 10am. I thought, "Of course, we have to be somewhere on the one day she actually sleeps in."

I was actually really glad that we went. It was for a little girl at church, and Amy was the only other little girl that came! 4 little boys from church eventually showed up, but I still felt bad for that little girl. It just reminded me that where ever possible, we need to make an effort to have Amy attend these things. Sometimes it's a pain, but every child deserves to have people show up at her birthday party.  I would've felt horrible if we didn't come, and then I found out that no one else did either! The family made a big lunch and everything! Luckily the missionaries also stopped by, so most of the food was eaten!

Other than that- we are just enjoying this GORGEOUS weather! The window's are down, fans on, fresh air all around...ahhhhh............ Spring in the south!! :)

Oh- I have ACHIEVED!! At this moment Amy is watching High School Musical, and singing/dancing around the living room. Ahhhhh!!!! YEEEEEES!!!!! Now to just get her hooked on Nancy Drew books and my training will be complete!

I agree Sarah, Nancy Drew will solve all things. Hehe. Wow, you sure have been busy. How on earth did you accomplish all those great gifts taking care of 2 and sometimes 3 children, and all the regular day to day stuff. They are all so cute. Great job. Keep rubbing in spring. It's now 20 degrees. We had 5 in of snow yesterday and at least that much later today. Spring sure!!! Love always.
