Isolation Week Four

April 6, day 21:
Since the previous week was technically our Spring Break, this was the first week of "school work." Although I use that term loosely because I am not a classroom teacher. The district provided daily work and the kids logged onto the computer to do it. Their assignments are also considered optional as legally they cannot require us to homeschool our children. Plus, the district cannot make it required because they don't provide help for anyone needing remedial help. Thus, it is optional. Which may or may not be a good thing. Actually, it doesn't bother me. The kids were about to take their state testing, so all of the concepts and such were already taught for the school year. We usually don't do testing until late April, so I have no idea why it was so early (in March) this year. But maybe it was a blessing in disguise.

We did manage to do a sound waves experiment. They all got to scream at a cup of water. Saran wrap was over the top and salt placed on it. They watched their sound waves jump up and down according to their voice level. The screaming was probably good for everyone.

Will's funny faces.

Amy caught a frog. That counts as science class, right?

Tyler slid down the mulch pile on a sled. Hey, when you don't have snow....

April 7, day 22:
Boredom day. All we did was watch movies. School work was a raving success. haha

April 8, day 23:
The highlight was getting Tyler's stuffed animals out from the attic. He's been asking about them for months. The rest of the day we just did random stuff.

April 9, day 24:
Went on a sock hunt. Wasn't very successful.

But some more seedlings are up!

April 10, day 25:
Isn't that homegrown lettuce gorgeous!?

And Amy did a workout with friends.... while eating Frosted Flakes. Seemed counter-intuitive.

April 11, day 26:
Took Will for a bike ride. Thought he'd hang in there for a long time, he didn't.
