Thank You for Voting....

.............but the mass majority of you are WRONG.

But our new little one is a BOY.

I was really wishy washy about finding out. The day of the ultrasound, Lee had to meet me there because he had a class to teach. So we decided to get started and let him join in. The technician asked if I wanted to know, and I told her that I still wasn't sure. She said, "That's ok, I'll just go ahead and do all the stuff I need to do and you can decide when your husband gets here."

Well, no sooner did she put the machine thing on my belly and this child was spread eagle. As you can see in the above picture. It didn't take a trained technician to see what part was certainly present! With Amy and Will the technician had to do a little searching- but I guess this one didn't want us to be surprised!

I was like, "Oh! Ok!" But I was excited.... a little best friend for Will!

We are going to name him "Tyler Robert." Tyler- well, we just like that name. And Robert is Lee's grandfather's and uncle's name.

Our girl name was Emily... so feel free to use it- we won't be needing it. :)

This is the picture that is at the top of the blog. He's on his back, his little face upwards.

And here's one of him facing us.

It's a little harder to see, but you can make out an eye and his nose.

And here's a foot....

Let me tell you, this little one was a mover! The technician kept remarking on how he wouldn't stay still and because of that it was hard to get a good image of his face. All of his organs and such were good though and he seems to be on schedule. His estimated weight at about 12 ounces. Which surprised me, I swear he already weighs 20 lbs! At least that's what it feels like to me!

At first Amy was disappointed, she really wanted a sister. But since Will is always in her stuff and she really like playing alone in her room, I have a feeling that would have worn off really soon. That night at the dinner table, Lee was saying how the Boys rule in the family and on and on. Amy didn't like that. But then I said, "That's ok Amy... WE get to do girls things..... go shopping, go on vacations, get our nails done, stay at hotels... the BOYS have to go to scout camp, sleep in the rain and all that yucky stuff." She agreed that being a girl was more fun. Now all she does is talk about "cute baby Tyler." She says hi to him every morning and is always full of hugs and songs that she sings to him.

We are excited for our little Tyler and we feel he's the perfect caboose for our family! Which is fitting since he so willingly showed his!! (Oh no, does this mean I have to have the "no mooning at Scout camp" lecture with him?? He's already taking after Uncle Adam.......! (which is a fun thing!)

  2. I can't believe all of us were so wrong. Oh well. I'm sort of glad it's a boy, because although I love the name Emily I have such a time with Annabel and Adeline, Emma and Emily would have been another nightmare. It takes too much thinking. Keep well. Love always.

  3. If he is anything like Adam you will have to start compiling a list of things now and get prepared.

  5. Glad to know and happy too. Will will appreciate a little brother to be best buddies with. The ultrasound didn't leave any doubt as to the sex. I bet once you laid out all the advantages to being a girl to Amy she was glad too. Now you have to keep up your end of the bargain and do all those things with her. I like the name you have chosen too. I'm sure Uncle Bobbie will be a happy man too!! Love to you all, Gram

  6. Yay! For once we aren't opposites! A Boy! I can't believe how easily you name your children! You are putting us to shame! I'm due in a month and we still don't even have a list of possibles let alone a few that we really like. Stink. As a side note, I totally was shocked when you said you might not find out what it was. I personally thought you would cave, I knew you couldn't stand not knowing! ha, ha. But I guess Tyler saved you the inner turmoil of even attempting to do it! ha, ha.
