So first and foremost- Will's MRI results were normal. Yippee!!!!! The MRI was Wednesday and we never heard anything Thursday. I was ok with that, I figured no news was good news. But Lee thought no news was bad news and he totally got into my head and got me all freaked out. I didn't sleep at ALL on Thursday night. On Friday morning I called the Dr's office and the receptionist said, "Oh Dr. Valero is out of town until the 20th." I was like, "Ummm... ok...... well, we are pretty much freaking out, is there anyone else that can tell me these results?" She said, "His nurse, but she's out today too, she may be back on Monday but probably Tuesday." Ummm..... thanks???!!
So I started calling family...... I talked to Dad first (Mom was at work) and he said, "Well, if it was something serious, they'd probaby tell you by now." Which is true. Then I called Grandma, who had the most brilliant idea. She said, "Why don't you call his pediatrician and see if he can get the answer for you?" I hadn't even thought of that! So I did and 30 minutes later he called me back (LOVE him) and said that everything was normal. YAY!! So thanks Grandma for that tip!!!! Our sweet little Will is going to be ok!
While all of that was going on, we were at the Discovery Center, which is this huge play area. There was also an elementary school there and it was insane!! I had my friend Roberta keep an eye on my kids while I hid out in the nursing lounge making all the phones calls. Once again, thanks Roberta! You always help me out!! I only got these 2 pictures of the kids playing, they are actually up in a tree.
After that it was time to head home, lunch , naps (I took one too!) and then the ward party. Which, while it was fun to see everyone, it was insane with all the kids running everywhere, activities trying to be acted upon, etc. Amy had an accident (she was overly tired and busy, busy, busy playing) and to be honest, I was glad for the excuse to leave early!
Lee and I curled up in bed with the laptop and watched a tv show called "Spy" on hulu. A friend told me about it and it didn't disappoint. It's a funny British show about a guy who accidently gets hired at Mi5. Lee was dying laughing. It's definitely a fun one!
And then this morning the kids slept in, which is highly unusual! But we welcomed it!! Today is cleaning day as the kitchen is a disaster zone. I've had too many projects going on at once! But instead of cleaning, I'm blogging. Oh well, maybe there will be hope for me one day. :)

Wonderful news, great decorating, and WAY too busy again. I need another nap. I like the trees. I never would have thought of something like that. Looks like even if you don't have all your stuff, you still have quite a bit. Adam's house outside is more decorated? I think we need pictures Lauren. I voted, Steve has voted too. Can't wait to see how it goes. Love always.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until we can get the kids to our childrens museum they will have a ball there too! It looked like the kids had a great day even if they did get overtired. I guess it was really Mommy who got too tired. How did Amy get hurt and what happened? You just said she was hurt but forgot to tell how. I'm so happy you have a nice friend to go out with and also to help each other out in a pinch. Love to all, Gram
