The Week Ending with Pumpkins

What a week! So Monday and Tuesday I spent sick. Couldn't even keep water down. No fun, no fun!! Tuesday night Lee brought home some pedialite and said, "Drink." So over the course of the night I drank the whole bottle. I guess it restored the much needed electrolytes and everything else because on Wednesday, I felt awesome. Didn't even know I was pregnant. Wednesday was so great! I got a little overexcited Thursday and started eating fruit again (which has seemed to be a major nausea trigger) and nope, baby didn't like it. Came right back up and sent me feeling miserable for the rest of the day. Friday I felt better, but not awesome. I faked it though as we had some friends over and that kept my mind off it. Also a friend had a girls night last night and that kept me busy as well.

After our playdate yesterday, I took the kids out to play. They love it outside, and who can blame them- it was the most gorgeous day!

He loved playing in a small pile of leaves. Do you know that Lee never did this as as child??
Seriously! He thinks the leaves are too dirty! I'm glad my kids aren't afraid of the 'dirt'

Watching an airplane.
We are fortunate to live near a small airport and there are always planes flying around.

Will loves to carry a bucket and fill it with stuff.
Today's bucket included a ball, chalk and pinecones
Amy reminded me that we had popsicles in the freezer and she couldn't wait to indulge!

He's starting to get brave and want to jump off stuff

Will found Amy's container (an old bubble container) and decided to try and shove a pinecone in it. It didn't work.

We were outside for over 2 hours, which is a long time in my book. So when I brought them in, Will had a royal fit. The pictures are blurry because he was moving, kicking, crying, wailing, you name it. He loves the outdoors!!

On Saturday we decided to get out a little. We went to a free local festival type thing put on at the Avenues (which is where all the "nice" stores are).  The kids got to pick out a small pumpkin and decorate it if they wanted.

She picked out her pumpkin

I grabbed a tiny one for Will. Which he thought was an apple.
One of the workers was like, "Oh don't let him eat it! "
I thought- it's a pumpkin- it's not going to kill him. Plus, have you ever tried cutting into one with a knife? Especially a small one?? Nearly impossible. I highly doubted he could actually sink his teeth in it.

Her decorated pumpkin. Full of glitter stickers.
They also had those big blow up jump things that kids love. Amy had the most fun with this!

And Amy got her nails painted..... definitely a highlight!

Will was hilarious with the snowcone. He wouldn't drink it, but instead he'd dip the straw in and take small bites. Well, more like drips.

After all the fun we could handle there, we went to our new favorite restaurant, Newk's, for lunch.

And Will loved playing around on the chair. We'll never get him back into a kiddie chair/booster seat now!

After lunch it was nap time for an exhausted Will. We were going to hit a pumpkin patch after he woke up, but he slept for 3 hours! By the time he woke up, it was too late for the pumpkin patch, so we'll try to go next weekend.

It's a gorgeous day here! Hope everyone else had a great Saturday!

  1. Well, our Sat. wasn't quite so fun. Rain and 48. Fall is here. I want to let you know about some water called Smart Water. Here you can get it at CVS but maybe other places as well. It is just water with electrolites in it so it doesn't have any other flavor. I found it when I was so dehydrated during my last treatments. Might be worth a try. Hard to imagine fruit is the culprit, but it sounds like it at least for now. Thanks for the great job of the reunion books, just got mine and am loving it. Did Will make any progress on the "apple"? Looks like they both had a good week of fun. Love always.

  3. What a great group of pictures~~~ You can tell by the looks on all your faces that you were having a great day. Glad the weather cooperated too! Here was a wash out!! I LOVE THE BOOKS!! They turned out so good and I'm sure all will enjoy them when I get them into the mail. As for the discs any time you get to them will be fine with me. It will be fun to see all the action that took place. There was so much it was hard to catch it all so I'm glad you were able to take them. I did get the invoice you sent me and the reason I didn't see it sooner was they had put it into the red danger file as they thought it might be some bad stuff,
There was a warning that came up on my screen but I didn't know what it was for so I just ignored it. I guess next time I see a red warning I'll check it out. That's what happens when you are so computer illiterate as I am. Oh well we all live and learn. Thanks for all the work you did!!!
Much love to you all, Gram
