My Other Saturday Project

One other thing that I've been meaning to do for awhile is build some shelves for Amy's closet. The $5 dresser has been wonderful, but the toys on the other side has been quite the disaster. Today it finally drove me nuts enough that I did something about it.....

The dresser on the other side....

So now her closet is nice and tidy!

When I was cleaning out Will's closet (a few weeks ago) I had to put the changing table somewhere. I got the brainstorm to move it to Amy's room and use it as a bookshelf. It's messy right now, but it's been great!

We also added the bed risers back to her bed so we could easily fit the food storage boxes under it. We don't have a neat basement like Mom and Dad, so we are utilizing the under the bed space!

Except for some more pictures on the walls, Amy's room is finally complete! Yay!!!

We found some great friends here, the Stout's. They actually moved in 2 weeks after us and we've been close ever since. Travis is starting a degree in air traffic control! Their 2 year old daughter, Alida, and Amy have become fast friends. A few weeks ago they watched our kids so we could go out and tonight we are watching Alida so they can go out. We are loving this system we created!

I put on Sleeping Beauty and the girls wanted to dance. That's why the picture is so blurry. Will doesn't really know what to think with 2 girls dancing around. He kind of wanted to join in, but he also wanted me to hold him. Having a new baby will be interesting with him!

  1. I tell you, it's always so much fun looking at the blog. I check all the time, even when I figure you won't have something new because you just did and low and behold more fun. Thanks. Love always.

  2. So many things to comment on. first off, I love your haircut. guess you made good use of your afternoon without the kids. Amy's closet looks great and I love the reuse of the changing table for Amy's room. I guess you will convert it back maybe when the new little Wade comes along. I bet you will love having the dresser done. Sounds like you are nearly done it. My vote for the curtain I liked best is #3 but I would wait too. We can check more places in Atlanta next time you come to town. the kids look great. I am having a great time at Anna's. We froze 6loaves of bread and lots of cookies and brownies for later treat attacks.
