Ahhh..... Amy......
Driving down the road on Sunday we noticed a billboard with a guy from church's face on it (he sells insurance). Amy said, "Look! That's McKenzie's dad!" Lee and I were shocked that she knew that (he doesn't come very often). When we mentioned that she laughed and said, "I know things!"
We had a really bad storm here Monday night. It knocked down large branches all over the place. Well, apparently it knocked down a bird too because Holly (Savannah's mom) told me we had a dead bird in our driveway and that she saw it yesterday (Tuesday). I went to look at it and Amy had picked it up and put it in a bucket. Picking up a dead animal, at
any stage of my life, has never
ever occurred to me. So we had to hose/alcohol/soap her down and then gave her a full bath. Then we had to speak to her about not picking up dead animals. (That's a conversation I never thought I'd have to have!).
She know a LOT of things. I'd keep my eyes open for snakes in pockets too. Love always.
Amy sure is an inquisitive little girl. I don't think I have ever in all my 81 years picked up a dead animal without a shovel to be my hands. She sure is a pistol. I'm glad she didnt' give it to Will. She sure does learn things!!! What a fun little girl. Love to you all, Gram
That is so funny. I have to say, I never had to have that talk with any of you either. I'm glad it was you. Just imagine if it was Lee that saw all that. He would have called the EPA and had her chemically hosed down. HAha
hahahaha Mom!! That is SOOOO true!!!
Aunt Lynn- yes- we've already had several talks about snakes. Unfortunately, Savannah's brother has a pet snake so the whole "Snakes are bad" thing doesn't fly with her.... "But Parker has a pet snake!" So we've had to say "Don't ever pick up a snake that is in the grass. Come get Mommy immediately" I pray everyday that she listens to that!!
Grandma- in cases like this "Fun" isn't exactly the word I'd use to describe her.... I always wonder what she'll come up with next!
