March 23, Day 8:
The day started off with me noticing a beautiful tulip that had popped up. Tulips are hard for us to grow here because it's not cold enough for long enough. But this one came back. I was pretty excited.
Lately Tyler has been the first one of the kids awake so he comes and curls up with me before everyone else gets up.
I made Will muffins per his request and about lost my religion after they we done and he decided he didn't want them, he wanted waffles. I refused to make the waffles and he figured it out on his own, which was a win for me. Will- one day you will read this and I want you to know that I do always love you. But there are some days you should have been named, "Won't."
He had a great sense of accomplishment and now makes his own nearly everyday. He made his own whipped cream too.
Tyler loves math and did the deck of card math all on his own.
Meme sent a lego and science experiment book, so the kids will have fun with those. Thanks Meme!
March 24, Day 9:
Today can be summed up by this photo. The kids watched Antman 1 and 2 and did nothing else. I worked on random projects throughout the house.
At the end of the day, Amy and Tyler went out to play in the rain until the lightening made me nervous. If you can see it- the 'fog' in the back of the photo isn't fog- that's how hard it was raining. We are so over RAIN.
March 25, Day 10:
More rain.
Tyler is still the first one awake. This boy loves hashbrowns!
It stopped raining for a moment so I took a peek at some of the garden goodness.
I'm convinced that LED lightbulb are a sham. A crock. A lie. We haven't even lived here for anywhere near 13 years and we already have bulbs going out. We don't leave our lights on very much either.
We drew a family tree genealogy of the prophets in the Book of Mormon until the end of the book of Omni. This was Will's.
We had the piano tuner come by. The piano was pretty bad (which is what Amy had been telling me.) The kids were memorized by the inside of it.
I worked on some sheetrock upstairs. I only did a few sheets. This project may take us into the next decade.
March 26, Day 11:
Otherwise known as The Day the SUN Came Out. And Happy Birthday Uncle Steve!
It was the most gorgeous and perfect day. We stayed outside the entire time. I mainly worked in the garden and the kids played. It was perfection.
They were so cute sitting on the playset with one another. They were just talking and laughing. I loved listening to it.
The raised beds are done! I need soil to fill one more, but that may have to wait until after this pandemic.
March 27, Day 12:
The kids made a water slide. Works for me. They were occupied and entertained for a long time.
Will wasn't having any part of the mud or water.
Amy, however, got as into it as possible. You all know her love for getting messy. That is one of the things I love about her.
After Tyler had changed, we realized that he hadn't showered. He was a little filthy as well!
Will was telling me a story about how something that blew up and I said, "Like your hair?!"
March 28, Day 13:
Amy was on a snail hunt. Once she gathered them I told her to get them far, far away from my garden. We spent the entire day outside. It was lovely.
