The kids had a day off school early in the month. So I took them to a pumpkin patch. Ha! Well, I took them to the Aldi grocery store to pick out their pumpkins. The first week of October Aldi always has really big pumpkins for $3. That's about what I'm willing to spend for something that will be carved and tossed into the compost pile.
Kids don't care where their pumpkin comes from. At least mine don't and they are happy as can be with their selections. Next year we may try growing some!
(I can't imagine which one is the comedian.....!)
I don't remember why they had their shirts off and were flexing. (Ignore the blue rectangle on the wall. I was trying to figure out sizing for a large map.)
I cleaned out my closet. It went from the left to the right in 30 minutes. I timed myself and made quick decisions. I've realized I need timers because I tend to get sidetracked.
Lee's mom came to town for a few days at the end of Fall Break.
One day we took her to Miller's Grocery (it's a local restaurant).
And the next day we took her to a nearby town called Bell Buckle. We ate lunch, wandered around a few shops and even found a geocache.
Karen then took us shopping bought everyone new clothes. We spent the evenings watching MARVEL movies and everyone loved that. We were certainly spoiled that weekend! We had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for coming Karen!!!!!
Will finally lost his first tooth (no picture) and Tyler followed by losing his first tooth the week after. They happened to have dental appointments the next week. The dentist wants Will to speed up the teeth losing and Tyler can slow down. Who knows what will actually happen.
We watched general conference and the only picture I got was of Tyler coloring. Oh well.
The kids love Halloween crafting!
I bought some skeleton hands at the Dollar Tree. I think they are actually supposed to be salad tongs. But let me tell you, those things have been the hit of the house. One of the kids is playing with them at any given time. That dollar was completely worth it!
(Will putting away his laundry...)
We have a Cub Scout in the house. The church is actually getting out of the scout program starting in 2020 but in the meantime we'll go along with it. Will loves it and gets so excited to put on his uniform and go to church each week. He even gets mad if we are late because he wants to be early so he can help set up the chairs. Who is this kid? He wasn't in a picture mood this particular night... probably because he thought he was running late.
I finally got to volunteer at the boys school. I helped in Will's class first, then went to lunch with him. Then I worked in Tyler's class and then had lunch with him. I also made them a fun lunch that day. Tyler later said I was crazy. haha. I'm slowly easing into volunteering. I'm happy right now just taking it little by little.
This post is already too long... so I'll start a new one. :)
