I got really sick last week and that took me out for a few days. A body rash started on my torso and whether it was related or not I ended up with flu-like symptoms. I didn't have the flu but had a really bad ear infection, a cough and a few other of those type symptoms. By the end I had 2 steroid shots, an anti-biotic shot, a round of oral steriods and anti-biotics. Things are clearing up and I'm starting to get back to normal. Bu things are no fun when Mom is down!
Towards the end of the week I was able to go with Amy on a field trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame. She wanted a Taylor Swift shirt for the occasion and was pretty excited about it.
It was a beautiful day in Nashville!
One really neat thing they did was a few weeks before the fieldtrip the kids wrote song lyrics. The lyrics were then given to a song writer who put the lyrics to music. He then played about 8 of the songs. Amy's song was one of them and it was written by her and her friend Alexa called Bullies Needs Hugs Too. It was really fun to see it come to life.
Over the weekend we had our first party at the house. Several wards from church were split (ours wasn't) so we all had church at the same time. Afterwards everyone came over for sandwiches and desserts. It happened to be several birthday's as well so someone brought a pinata. I love having people over!
Cora and Will at the special meeting where the wards were split. They actually get along really well and are super cute together. Although, we parents, joke that if they ever do get married, no one is volunteering to watch their kids. (They both have really high energy levels!)
Now to start Spring Break!
