To The Allen's for the Fourth!

We managed to squeeze in a trip to visit the Allen's for the 4th. Everyone always has the best time and their house is a favorite of my kids. 

Anna always has fun games to play. For this one you had to get a quarter into the circle. The smaller circle got you more points. The winner got the last slice of a yummy cake.

Eli was all about the Red Vines

Adeline made Amy laugh so hard, she was crying. We kept saying, "Adeline has found her voice!"Adeline was making Macarons for us.

This was a Candy Bar game. You rolled two dice and if you got a 7 or 11 you could pick a candy from the stack. You kept playing until they all were taken. The trick was some of them had money hidden on the back!

They have an excellent community pool that we are always excited to swim at. Will and Tyler love to go off the high dive. Everyone likes the waterslide.

Anna's town had fireworks on the 3rd. So we all walked to her cute downtown square and watched from there. On the way home, Amy fell and skinned both knees and her hands. It was pretty bad. But she's tough. 

On the 4th we all slept in and then went to a little lake area to swim and kayak. It was a hot day, but the water was cool.

We teased Lee about his sunscreen. He has reached the age where he "didn't care what he looked like." But once he saw photos he was like "Oh no!" haha.

 

 

The kids had a blast watching each other play video games or watching movies. They really do love being together. 

Anna pulled out the air mattresses for a family movie night. We watched Hook. None of the kids had ever seen it before.

Sadly, it was time to go home. We always love our Allen visits!
