Amy was at FSY in Kentucky. We had to pick her up, but getting her was halfway to Anna's so we decided to head up there for a visit. My kids favorite place is the Allen's house. Since Stratton and Will have the same birthday, we celebrated again.
The Allen kids are really great at making people gifts. Grayson worked for weeks on his gift for Will. It was a personalized comic book of a game they play together. It was amazing.
Anna always has fun games to play. This one you had to roll the ping pong ball down the island. And if the ball went into a cup, you got to keep however much money was attached to the cup. Lee and I joked we were trying to get a gallon's worth of gas (at the time it was nearly $5.)
Then Anna made Stratton and Will be human pinatas. Candy was hotglued all over their shirts and everyone chased them around the year, trying to get the candy.
Before church on Sunday, the boys found the leaf blower. It was hilarious watching them. At Anna's you can walk to church, which I think is so fun.
The next day we went on a tubing adventure! We had a lot of fun, but the funniest memory from the trip is Lee. If you know Lee, you know he's kind of a germaphobe. He hates it when the kids sit on the floor. He hates it when they dirt on their hands. He used to sneakily hand sanitize them every moment he got. He's kind of psycho about it. We've all laughed about it for years.
Well, on the bus going to the tubing dropoff, someone left a bottle of gatorade. Mind you- it was opened and left behind. And Lee DRANK out of it!!!! He DRANK out of some strangers gatorade. We were all DYING. It's disgusting enough, but for LEE to do it- well, needless to say, it's still the talk of the trip.
These posted out of order, but you get the idea.
We all had a lot of fun. On the way back to Anna's, we stopped in this teeny tiny town for Ice Cream.
The last fun thing we did was make really big bubbles. The cousins all have so much fun together. It fun to visit as much as we are able to. Although it would be nice if we were just a tad closer. But we'll take what we can get!
