We started the week off with at home church and our friends the Rivas's who come over each week for the sacrament. I always do an object lesson or two.
This week the kids all got a pile of playdoh and created something church related. The lesson was about how if we let him, God will mold us into the person we need to become.
Aiden made a tree from the Sacred Grove
Will made Joseph kneeling by the gold plates
Tyler made Joseph and Oliver
Amy made the fruit that Eve ate. I'll admit, I was a little puzzled at her choice. BUT we have been studying the Old Testament with her so that makes sense that it was on her mind. Also, Amy is ridiculously perfectionistic with anything art related. So her choosing something simple was probably best.
Caleb, upon seeing Amy's apple, decided to make a serpent.
Lexi made a tree from the Tree of Life.
Then we talked about our testimonies and how they can inflate quickly with the warmth from God (hot water) but when taken away from God can deflate a little. And when we turn away from Him completely we lose it all (cold water.) Bu the good thing is we can be inflated again at anytime if we just go closer to God (hot water.)
Abe was my little buddy. I got there late Thursday night so the kids were in bed. When they woke the next morning, I was sitting on the couch and he walked sleepily from bed, took one look at me, and curled up into my arms. We had a bond from that moment. :)
I also taught him how to do this :)
And this. :) I created a monster. hahaha.
Anna and Stratton live in the cutest town and we took a walk to the ice cream parlor. The kids (and Stratton) rode their scooters.)
I mean who eats pickle juice taffy?????
There was a geocache nearby so I taught them how to hunt.....
And Grayson found it!
My project for the weekend was putting up the pantry shelves.
It was a great weekend and I can't wait to go back! The kids and I are going for Spring Break. It's only a few weeks away!
