Working hard on insulation. Day one I didn't wear a mask or gloves and found myself coughing like crazy. I learned my lesson and now mask and glove up before working. There isn't a way to prettily display insulation, so just know we are hard at work on it.
Dad and his friend Sam came back up for one day to hook up the HVAC. It was really nice of Sam to do that all day trip. (No one here would do it since they didn't install it.) We now have heat up there, which is nice. I don't run it much since the insulation isn't complete. But it's nice to know that it's there!
The big news- Tyler's EEG. Tyler's last seizure was a year ago and the one before that was a year before that. So the doctor wanted to do an EEG to see how he's doing. It's a $1000 test, so we hoped we would have some good results from it. Tyler and I woke up really early one morning (so he'd be sleep deprived) and drove to Nashville.
It took him forever to fall asleep. And we thought he wouldn't, but he finally dozed off. (They get a better read when they are sleeping.)
We got a call a few hours later and the doctor said his EEG came back normal!! Which means he's outgrown his seizures!! We were SOOO excited. He wanted to celebrate at Taco Bell. (Doesn't he look so grown up in this picture? Not a baby anymore!)
Here are the pictures from his previous 2 EEGs. He was the cutest baby. This was at age 9 months and the next photo is age 5.
We are pretty excited around here! He's slowly coming off his medication and is doing great. Of course we have to still be a little careful because he could still have one. But so far, he's doing great!
I started one of my dreams the other day- Master Gardener Courses! I've been wanting to do this for nearly 14 years and it's finally time! I'm pretty excited. There are 30 of us in my class. We do 3 months of weekly coursework and then 40 hours of community service. At that point we will be "official" Master Gardeners. The binder is 4 inches! Surely I'll learn something by the end of this! Actually, what you learn is how much you don't know!
And then there's Amy- who loves leaving crazy faces on peoples phones. She makes us laugh.
