The cabinet looked like this before. The pots are stacked behind the Instant Pot, it drove me crazy. I had finally had enough of the shoving and stuffing.
The slider was surprisingly easy to build. I just used a drawer slide. It hasn't fallen down so I guess I built it right. ha! I've loved it. It makes getting a pot soooo much easier.
Tyler still loves playing with his 'figures.' I think he owns all of them, although he tells us he still needs a few more guys.
We ended up with a lot of boxes so Amy built herself a castle.
The boys had their yearly check-up and they thought the gowns were hysterical. They couldn't stop laughing about them.
Tyler loves a mohawk. He doesn't do it everyday but when he gets a wild whim we let him go for it.
I got another blog book printed and Amy absolutely loves reading through them.
I've been working in the garden more and wow it's so hot out! Sweat literally comes from every pore.
And then I bought a carload of wood to make raised boxes. The man at Lowe's was teasing me about not making any sudden stops as the wood was haphazardly everywhere.
He was quite excited about me bringing homemade cookies to the pickup line.
One Saturday morning I needed to go back to Lowes. Will was already awake so I took him with me with a promised stop at Waffle House.
Needless to say, his eyes were bigger than his stomach. But he was happy to bring the leftovers home.
One of the garden beds built!
Talana, Trista and I had a girls night and went to Arrlington Vineyards. I had never been before but oh wow, it's a beautiful place. It's free to get it (they are hoping you will buy their wine, which apparently is really good. Of course we have no idea.) They have live music and you can walk all around the place. It'll be a great place to take visitors.
And some pictures from the garden......
I've harvested lots of basil! I've made delicious pesto and dried most of it.
The Zinnia this year were simply gorgeous!!
I've really gotten into harvesting seeds. These are okra.
Jambalaya Okra.
Hill Country Red Okra. It's a lot wider than the Jambalya. I actually prefer the jambalaya. I've saved seeds from both, but I'll probably just grow the one kind.
Baby loofah. I've gotten quite good at hand pollinating them the moment I see it's female. It's been a fun learning garden this year!
I finally harvested my first one! I was so excited! I'll rinse it off and dry it out really good and the plan it to cut them smaller and use them for gifts this Christmas! It's been such a fun project. I just love this plant.
Two pumpkins. I got a total of 4 before the squash bugs got the plants. I also planted them too early. It would have been more fun to have them at Halloween.
Baby cantaloupe. (It looks like a watermelon, but you can see the 'cantaloupe' look starting at the top.)
I pulled out the strawbales and moved things around. In them I found 2 really tiny carrots. ha! I had to laugh at that.
