Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain, Rain and a Few Other Updates

About 2 weeks ago we got a ton on non-stop RAIN. So much so that roads around here began to flood and school was cancelled for 3 1/2 days. Different roads would open and then be shut down again due to the way would seep into the road. I don't think anyone was in any real danger, but the school system wanted to take precautions, which was probably the right call when dealing with kids on a school bus. Lee made it to work just fine each day.

I took the kids outside to stomp around in it. It was a bit chilly but we stayed out as long as we could.

On the last day of school being out, everyone being stir crazy, a new friend invited us over to their house for a hike in their woods.

We hiked to the top of a hill and ate lunch.

Will is not a huge fan of the outdoors. He slipped at one point and then declared "He was done with this!" I told him he was welcome to stay there all night with the animals. He then said, "Ok, fine, I'll keep walking but if I slip one more time, I'm out of here!" Matthew Pennington was really sweet and always made sure Will was ok. They weer good buddies that day.

At church I get to work with the Activity Day girls (girls ages 8-11) They are really cute. One night we washed all the toys in the nursery. They are always so excited about everything.

School wore Tyler one one day! There must have been a lot of learning that day!

I get to  attend the temple almost weekly. I just love it and try to take a picture whenever I think about it. This particular was beautiful!

Amy has a little reaction to her allergy shot one day. It's a normal thing but this one made her eyes look weird. I kept think she was growing then realized no one grows that fast!

I went for a walk one day and she was waiting on me. She said she was just trying to get warm.

For Dr. Seuss' birthday I made the kids some cookies and bought them a few new books. It always fun celebrating little holidays. :)
