A House, Groundhogs Day, the Super Bowl and 100 Days of School

Since everything seems to be on the right track, I guess I can finally post about this. (I've been a little superstitious about jinxing it.) But we bought a house! Well, it's not ours yet. We are supposed to close next week. Fingers crossed everything continues to go ok and the Wade will be homeowners (again... its been too long!) 

It's a cute house that is out in Christiana (about 30 minutes south from our current house). It's 3 bedroom 2 bath and the downstairs is completely ready to go. The thing that really sold me on the place was the unfinished upstairs. Once completed, it will give us another bedroom, another bathroom and a play area.

I celebrated Groundhogs day by making chocolate bundt cakes and adding a laminated paper groundhog to the top. I brought a bunch into the kids school and kept some for ourselves.

Sunday night was the Super Bowl. Last year we played two little games and had so much fun we repeated them this year.

The winners of these random guesses were Lee and Amy who tied.

The next is just a dumb luck bracket. Every time the score changes another person gets the square. (Once the score gets over 9 you use the tens spot number). Everyone got 5- $1 spots, 5- quarter spots, 5- dime spots and 5- penny spots.

Tyler won $1.10

Will won $ .27

But the clear winner was Amy with her penny. She laughed so hard!

Lee won $2.01 and I won $2.25
It's a fun way to celebrate something that most of us care nothing about.

Tyler celebrated 100 days of school on Monday. The kids get to dress up like a 100 year old. We got his costume together on Saturday to see how he liked it. He loved it and wore it around all day. (I bought reading glasses from the dollar store and made the suspenders. The lenses were actually popped out, just not for these pictures.)
