Amy's party

Amy's holiday party was on Tuesday. The three Kindergarten classes combine and just have one big party. Somehow, me and the other room mom (in Amy's class) ended up being "unofficially" in charge of it. No one else was taking the lead, so we did, I guess that's how we ended up being in charge. Which was funny, because we really had no idea what to do. But I guess no one did, we are all new to Kindergarten! Anyhow- it was fun and the kids had a great time. That's the important thing, right?!

It was a "Breakfast with Santa" theme.. so of course, the big man paid a visit. I was afraid she would hear the "there isn't a Santa" rumors at school... and she has, a little. One day she was telling me, "Mom, Jackson (in her class, NOT her cousin) said there isn't a Santa. But I know he's just tricking me. I believe Mom, I BELIEVE!" Except she said, "I believe" in this evangelical, preaching type voice. It was so funny.

The kids also rotated through 3 craft stations. Each class was responsible for one. They made clothespin reindeer, a paper tree and reindeer food. All were very cute, easy crafts.

They also had an "eating" station....

And her class with Santa.... minus Dallin who is out of town. (Amy is behind Santa, the 2nd towards the right)

Such a great class. I just love being with these cute, sweet, funny kids.

After the party, we went down to the classroom to give Mrs. Bradley her class gift. We wanted to do more for her, but we didn't get a ton of donations. I think a lot of people, like us, just did their own thing. Which was fine. She seemed to really like the box and said it was the perfect place to store all the wonderful drawings and cards that the students give her.

A fun time was had by all! (And secretly, all of us room mom's were glad it was over!)

  1. It looked like all the kids enjoyed the party. I know they are a lot of work but it is fun for the kids. They sure had a good Santa.
There is always at least one in every class that tries to convince the kids there is no Santa. There always has to be at least one spoiler in every group.
Sounds like everyone had a good time.
    Love to you all, Gram
