Moved In

Well, we got all moved in. Thanks to Lee and some great helpers from church! Well, I should say the church helpers did all the heavy stuff. For the next week, Lee and I would go and bring smaller loads in our cars. One day last week, our wonderful friend Linda, volunteered to watch Amy and Will ALL day while Lee and I worked our tails off at the old house. We have so much crap. Wait, let me rephrase, I, and I alone, have so much crap. And the kids. Lee owns 2 things- his xbox and a pair of running shoes. (sigh)

A lot, well, most, of it I wanted to get rid of. But I needed to go through it first. And most of that was brought from GA in March, but since I was 9 months pregnant, I couldn't mess with it then. And then since we had to move, basically within a week, there wasn't time to go through it then either. So we just brought everything and tossed it into the garage. Our garage looks like an episode of "Hoarders." And I'm not kidding. But I refuse to take a picture to prove it.

But the good news is I am weeding out stuff like CRAZY. It feels so nice. We brought the things we needed to live inside the house and anything that doesn't fit, goes. It's wonderful!!

The good news is we L.O.V.E. this house. The layout is perfect and a much better use of space. The old house had so much wasted space. I'll do a video tour soon. We are also a little closer to church, the college and Amy's school. So saving on gas money will help too!

There was a problem with the dryer vent, so when the maintenance man came to fix it, Will was glued to him. Will definitely takes after his namesake (my dad)! He loves tools and anything related to fixing anything.

I kept forgetting to move over my mixing bowls. One morning I got inventive and mixed muffins in a pot.

No one panic. Tyler was in no harm. Will placed this net over his head because he just wants him to play. One day I was holding Tyler and Will came up with a ball saying "Hold it!" I held the ball in Tyler's hand and all of a sudden Will pulls up his bat and arches back to take a swing. I was like, "No, no, no! He can't play yet Will!" Tyler can't grow up enough fast enough for Will.

Our neighborhood has a great playground and pool. We haven't been to the pool yet (it's in the background, next to that white building) but one evening last week I took the kids to the playground. Lee was at work. They loved playing at it and it's nice to have a great place within walking distance.

Amy was into Father's Day a full week before the actual day. One morning she made all the boys a bowtie out of pipe cleaners. Will actually loved his and wore it for several hours afterwards.

  1. It sure looks like a fun park. I bet the kids love it there. Nice it is so close to the house too.
You really had a good find when you were house looking. I guess even though it was a hectic move it was a lucky one too! Love to all, Gram
