December

Ah December! A month full of fun!

No matter how old they get, the kids still love playing with the Little People nativity set.

I don't remember the WHY on this photo- but Lee certainly looks worn out! haha

Playing with the nativity again!

This is the first year that Nashville had a Giving Machine. It's like a vending machine, but instead of candy, you buy a donation item. Food for a family, school supplies, chickens! There were all sorts of items. It's pretty cool. This night I volunteered at it with some friends- Jette Halliday, Diana Taylor and Maria Ramierz. It was located in downtown Nashville, by Bridgestone Arena.

A friend hosted a Gingerbread House making party.

Will always finds a way to get cozy with a blanket!

The Master Gardener Christmas Party- our table had a lot of fun.

We had a hall bath remodel. Mom and Dad came for Christmas and this is one of the projects we tackled.

Before:

After. An awesome improvement!

I also painted the brick on our fireplace. I guess I don't have a before. But it was just standard, red brick before. It took me a long time to get the confidence to paint it, but once I did I wondered why I had waited so long!

While they we here, we used dad's skills and moved the shed. We just moved it to the back of the property. And when I say "we," I mean Dad and Lee. :) WE had to laugh though because it was going rather slowly- and then Mom suggested they empty it out. Lee was game, but Dad insisted that didn't matter. Eventually he relented and it was much easier to move. Mom had a fun time teasing him about that one!

We didn't carve our pumpkins in October- so December is the perfect time to do it!

The 2021 Family photo!!

The Elves!!

Mom was here for her birthday!

The boys slept under the tree on Christmas Adam (Dec 23rd) and the elves slept by them. This way they can have every moment of fun on Dec 24th when they get to touch them. It's really Tyler who loves this tradition. This boy LOVES the elves!

Christmas Eve dinner

This dog gets more photos of him that the rest of us!

Merry Christmas!

Lee and his thermometers!

Mom and Dad were going to stay through New Years, but weren't feeling well so they went home. Turns out they had gotten Covid, so it was probably best they could be sick at their own home. No one likes being sick at someone else's home! But the Allen crew came for New Years and we took a trip to downtown to visit the Giving Machines. Then we walked around Nashville. Amy decided she hated the busy city and couldn't wait to leave. She's definitely a country girl!

Then we celebrated the ending of one year and start of another. Happy New Year!
