Feels Like Summer is Half-Way Over!

In so many ways I feel like the summer is half way over and it's barely gotten started.

Lee is getting a bit older and we laugh that he needs reading glasses AND a flashlight to play Guess Who with the kids.

Tyler's new way of wearing a mask. Its a great way to get in a nap!

Will is enrolled in a Summer School/Camp program. I have to speak his praises because he's been doing great. I imagine it's really hard to go to bed early and get up early, in the summertime, and when your siblings don't have to. But he's working hard and doing it really well. It's just through the month of June, so he's half-way through. Oh and when I asked him about maybe wearing matching socks he said, "Mom- it's summer school. No one cares about matching socks." So there you have it.

We got our free Krispy Kreme donuts of Donut Day! Will decided he didn't like them anymore, so Amy ate his. :)

Will and Tyler have joined a Kickball league. The morning of their first game was unbearably hot. So we all donned hats and loaded up on sunscreen. I tried getting Amy to take a picture with me, but she's a teenager now and wouldn't.

Hot and sweaty after a day of Master Gardening volunteering. Braids are my new look of the summer.

Marty thinks he's human and likes to curl up like one.

This picture made me laugh because he looks so small and like he has tiny stubby legs. Must have been a funny camera angle.

Our friends went out of town and asked us to feed/let their cats out every day and night. In the meantime they gave us access to their pool so we took advantage of that a few times.

I said goodbye to one of my best-friends, Talana Knox. She's been a part of most every hike as well as tons of other adventures. She's one of my favorite people. Her family moved to New Mexico for her husbands new job. I'm going to miss this lady!!

We've been having really pretty sunsets and then followed by a summer storm right behind it. All the foggyness in the left side of the picture is rain. I thought it was kind of cool to watch.
