Going through pictures and April was just a bundle of beautiful flowers. We had a really pretty spring, that's for sure!
The Easter Bunny brought all the kids (and Lee) a fishing pole. They were excited about that.
I used my last lemon to make lemonade. It was delicious. I harvested 12 lemons this year from my tree. I gave most of them away just because it was fun to do. But i made sure to save the last one for me. :)
Talana and I spent one of our final days together. This time we went to Cheekwood Gardens which is here in Nashville to see the tulips festival. It was gorgeous. After that we had lunch and then went to Biscuit Love for one of their cinnamon rolls. It was a perfect day.
The youth did a service project clean-up and these were the kiddos in my group. I love them all so much.
I got a new car! The van... well, the van was dying a slow death. I was even starting to be afraid of driving it. I told Lee I wanted an SUV with a tow hitch. And he found me a Hyundai Sante Fe. So far we love it! And it's nice not to be afraid of it breaking down everytime you get in!
I went on a hike with the Master Gardeners. Let me tell you- that is a different experience. Instead of mileage- you spend all your time identifying plants. It was a fun and different. We went to a waterfall I've been to several times. it's always beautiful.
Tyler turned NINE!! Where did the time go?? He was actually sick, with a fever, on his birthday so he stayed home from school. You can't send a kid with a fever to school- especially this year where they actually check temps every day! (Not that I would anyway!) He was not happy about that. All he wanted was for his class to sing to him. Poor kid. But we tried to make it special. He had a huge pile of hashbrowns for breakfast, got the toys he wanted, ate a basketball cake and got sprayed with silly string. His favorite tradition ever!
I have no idea. Oh wait! I was in a store for the first time sans mask. It was awesome.
Marty likes to curl up like he's human.
How I had to stack trays of food for a ward event.
Some of my young women stole my phone. I decided to save these to blackmail them with later. :) (Elise Forrester and Abigail Pennington)
April brought the start of projects for the kids. This is Tyler's Solar System poster.
My iris really showed off this year. They were stunning!
Hey Lady!! So glad to see you all are doing well. Love all the pictures! And congrats on your new SUV...very nice! I had to laugh at your picture of going to the store without a mask...I completely felt the same way!! I actually need to go grocery shopping as well now that the kids are officially out of school to find out what they will eat...other than Ramen! Ha! Next time you guys are in town let me know it would be great to see you all. Take care!
