A New Package

It's always fun having packages arrive! Between buying things like diapers and wipes online AND being so far from family, thus everything gets mailed to us, I think our postman cringes when he sees another box being delivered to us. I should be on a first name basis with the man!

He may not enjoy it- but we LOVE it! Today a fun box from NY came. Seems as if everyone was up to some fun during Mom's visit!  The new toys were a hit! Amy played with them all day.
In fact, I think one of them made it to the bathtub as well.

Sharing with Will. She's really good at that.
(I think the toys were actually intended for him. She must be borrowing them for awhile!)

I cleaned out both kids dressers today, changing out clothing sizes and seasons. In it, I found this hat for Will. He looks like he's ready for the family reunion!!

The little rugrat also figured out he could play in the toilet. Daddy wasn't happy about this picture!

There were some other adorable clothes in there as well, I just forgot to take a picture. But thanks everyone! Everything is much appreciated!!

This morning Will found a skeen of yarn. Wish I had gotten a video- he was having the time of his life.

He wouldn't be your child if he didn't get into the toilet anyway Sarah. Love all the pics. Maybe Will will take after Uncle Steve and start crocheting. He sure is a cutie. I think we are all ready for the reunion. Love always.

What a great update.!!! I love all the pictures of the kids and I'm glad they enjoyed all the goodies. We had fun deciding on what to send. Happy Easter! Yesterday was a bad day. Your Mom left us and we all hated to see her leave. We are lucky she was able to come and stay as long as she did but we hate to have her leave again. Love to you all. Gram

It's Official!!

The contract is signed...... Middle Tennessee State University here we come!!

After realizing he dated it 2010.
He failed his first test!

Such a goof ball. Notice he had to go put on a tie and jacket??
OVER his Halo shirt.

We've Been Having Fun

First of all, THANK YOU to Uncle Bobby and Aunt Cindy for this cute outfit for Amy. She's in love with this shirt and wants to wear it everyday. They also sent Will a cute outfit, but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Amy has been into 'pretending' the past few days. On Saturday she was a dog. She even wanted a spot drawn on her face, to make it "official," of course!

Today, after watching an Animal Planet type movie on Deer, she decided she wanted to be one. And she was ALL DAY.

I had to feed her an orange because "Deers can't peel them by themselves"

She picked a flower for me- its in her mouth

She also ate her strawberries on the floor.

Oh kids imaginations! The somewhat frustrating thing was anytime you asked her something, she wouldn't respond. When you questioned her she'd say, "Deers don't talk." Well, she has a point. Actually, I was happy about the deer- before that movie she watched one on wolves and she was howling all over the place. Trust me- a silent deer was much better than a howling wolf!!

Will goes everywhere, and today was no exception. He got away from me a few times in the yard. The dirt, combined with the strawberries snack left him quite messy. I knew I shouldn't have put these white shorts on him. (They were a hand me down, I have a rule against buying white for kids)

The kids and I were playing around on the couch yesterday. They are so cute and their laughs are infectious!

What fun. For fruit stains. Boil water. Place garment over a bowl or sink, pour the water from about a foot above the stain through the cloth. Alakazam GONE. Una taught that one to me. Works every time. Anything fruity. I agree about a quiet deer. The stains will be worse if she decides to be a snake. We had a nice birthday with Uncle Mike. Had the news about your contract and Nicole's passing her tests to also celebrate. What a blessing our family has had. Love always.

The boiling water really works! I tried it just the other day and it was great. I'm still working on the socks but I don't have a lot of hope in being successful. If I had started first before you washed and dried them I might have been ahead of the game but looking at them after soaking in clorox and biz they don't look too white. Are you sure you don't want dirty grey socks....I'll keep trying it is sure a challenge. We all celebrated over all the great news we had last week. We sure do have a lucky family. Amy sure does have a great imagination,. Love to you all, Gram

Saturday Morning

I really haven't updated since Monday?? Wow! That has to be a record!

Actually- nothing exciting has really happened. We've kind of just hung around all week. Our crazy neighbors have added some excitement. It's strangely kind of fun having our own reality show next door!

I've played with my Vitamix a little this week. I was able to grind wheat in it. Which is just the best thing ever. I used to borrow a friend's grinder and grind a whole bucket and then keep that in the freezer. But no more! I can grind what I need, when I need it. I'm really excited about that!

I made pancakes with my freshly ground wheat that morning. I think Will enjoyed them.

Lee was teasing me about this, what he called, 'butterfly collar' shirt that Will is wearing. I had forgotten to put a onesie on under neath. So I think Lee was secretly glad that Will made a mess of it!

And then I tried making peanut butter. Worked like a charm as well. We go through a lot of peanut butter around here, and I like buying the Organic Natural kind... but it's kind of expensive. So now I can just order peanuts online (for much cheaper) and make my own. I'm really jazzed about this as well.

That's really all I have for you. It's been so pretty here- I put down the windows everyday and we just enjoy it. Everything is starting to bloom and I noticed the pollen is starting to show up everywhere. Our warm weather should be here to stay so it was really nice taking all the plastic off the windows! And we are really excited that this is our last winter having to put plastic everywhere to keep out the drafts!

So that's it for now. Maybe we'll do something exciting over the weekend. :)

No info on the wacky neighbors? Will does look like he was enjoying pancakes. Soooo glad your weather is nice,(said with much sarcasm) although yesterday was BEAUTIFUL and even if it's only 38 today at least no snow. Love always.

The peanut butter looks yummy! Can't wait to try it!

WHAT??? Peanut butter?! We are in the same boat. We eat it all the time, and the organic and natural stuff is expensive. The taste is so much better, though. You're like a Pandora's Box to all things amazing.
